Hi again- went to see a show called Tribute to Garth Brooks last night here in AZ- very good and all his greats were performed. I even danced near my table with ladies to "Low Places" missed my fellow Okies.

Arizona Navy Moms & Dads Get Together at Prescott Valley

A get together for Navy moms and dads to meet and share stories about their sailors. So, if you're from southern Arizona come on up to northern Arizona and cooler temperatures and enjoy some good social time with other Navy parents.

- About me:
- I am a self-employed contractor in Clinical Research,Drug and Device Development. I have owned my own business since 1993.
I have one son, age 19. I am divorced since 1995.
My passions are my faith, helping to develop good drugs for bad diseases, and vaccines for protection from disease, life saving and life-improving medical devices, quality of life and health for children and the aging, medical missions and classical choral music and singing, and of couse my son. For fun, I hike, love the desert, cook great meals, sing with friends, snow ski, camp, and travel.

I'm really glad you have decided to come to the get together on the 22nd. I think it will do your heart some good. You will be overwhelmed with support and information and I know you won't regret coming. Also, I want to let you know that you can order a DVD of Kiernan's PIR. If you think you will want to order one, just let me know before you come on the 22nd and I will download the form and give it to you when I see you. It will be the next best thing to actually being there.
I'm looking forward to our event. I just hope it all goes together smoothly and everyone enjoys themselves.

- I'm so very sorry, Maureen! I know this is painful beyond belief. I can't tell you when it will end - wish I knew! My husband's three daughters have been estranged for years, despite his constant attempts to stay in touch, love and support them, remember birthdays, holidays and other special occassions. They blame him for their parents divorce, although their Mom walked out on him! Then he met and married me 5 years later and that was unforgiveable!! Anyway, all I can tell you is to continue to love your son unconditionally, remind him every so often that you care and are thinking of him, and then most importantly, just keep praying for him!! God loves and understands him better than you ever can so put him in God's hands. I know this seems trite when you're in so much pain... but don't beatYOURSELF up over HIS choices. May God grant you, Mom Maureen, peace and comfort.

What do you think about President Obama's health care plan? At first I thought it would be good, but now, looking it over I'm very concerned. To me is seems, lets pass up socialistic and go straight to communistic! It may put people like yourself under serious strain to keep trying to create new meds. Let me know what you think.
Oh, It's so good to hear when someones day starts out so happy. It's great that you get to go for bike rides with your brother! And it wasn't too hot today! My brother lives in Phoenix so I don't see him much. Still another reason to appreciate modern technology!
I definitely will pray for your son and his safety and happiness. Where is he now? When you get in contact with him thank him for me, please. I too was a single parent for quite awhile, but through it all God has always taken care of us. I have 5 children. One daughter, four sons.

Go the Families drop down and in Contacting your Recruit, it has all of the addresses for the different ships. Address your letter SR first name, last name, ship #, div #, then the address that applies. It shoudl get to him. There is a lot of really info on this site.

- Hi Maureen, I'm so sorry that you haven't heard anything from you son. I know that the recruit is the only one who can gave out his information, but since you have the Ship and Div # you should be able to reach him. I've seen some general info on this site about it I'll look around and see if I can find it again. I'm fortuante that my ex and I are pretty friendly about our kids, but they were older when we divorced and we are both remarried. I'll get back to you when I find the info I'm thinking.about. My son left for BC on June 24 and his PIR date is 8/21.
