I am getting ready for Christmas and having both my boys home for the holidays. My sister made an appointment for the whole family to take pictures since everyone will be home this year.
Didn't David put in leave papers? I got Dom's ticket a few weeks ago. Hope you can find out soon so you can get his.
Going to be a cold weekend here, high in the 40's. Brrr...

That's great that yo can stay on base. Is it a Navy Lodge? You will have to let me know if it is a nice one. I am sure you are excited to get on the road and see him. Enjoy you Thanksgiving with you daughter and I can't wait to hear all about PC and your visit.

My hubby will be a diver not EOD. I had to ask him, kind of sad, huh? I believe he will have a 6 week school in Great Lakes after basic then he will move on to PC. I am told I probably will not be able to go to PC because it will kind of be like another boot camp except for divers. Do you know if that is true or not?

How long of a drive is it to PC from your place? How nice that you will get to see him. Dom has his truck there so he has transportation. I bet there is some good fishing there. What part of TX are you from?

I think EOD and Dive guys do PT together in GL but different classes in both places. Dom seems to be doing very well academically and physically so far. I don't think EOD guys spend as much time in PC and the regular divers do. I do know their classes are separate there. I think they push all of them very hard physically, mentally and academically and I'm not quite sure how they do it but I know for the job they will be doing it is necessary. Was David a swimmer? Dom has swam for years and loves to surf etc. very comfortable in the water which has served him well so far. How old is David? Dom is 21. Keep in touch. Like you said it is nice to have someone who's son is in the same place.

Hi Melanie, I saw that your son is going to Dive school in PC. That is very exciting. My husband will be going as soon as we can get him in and out of basic. I hope that I might be able to learn from you what to expect.

So David is in PC but just started Dive school this week? Dom's is going to be a Navy Diver. He very easily could get stationed here. We leave near Norfolk Naval Base and also Naval Amphibious Base Lcrk which has a mobile diving salvage unit. We have a very large military community. Yes, the bay is very chilly this time of the year. Dom said the water was warmer Monday morning actually than the air.
Did David spend time in GL pre-dive school? Dom was there for about 2 months. Is David's contract for Diver or EOD?
Yes, my youngest is in college. I don't see him joining the militlary but you never can tell for sure. How old is David?
Good to meet someone who's child is in the same place.

Hi Melanie, I read on the forums that your son is currently in Dive school in PC, FL. That is where my son will be heading after boot. Nice to meet you.
