That was my father in law that followed Victoria around graduation! I asked him to do baby duty since she seems to take to him so well. He's got a gift for that sort of thing and it helped me out sooooooo much! I think it took my stress levels down about 80% knowing that someone else was there to chase her around. I didn't really get to say bye to Jesse. The last night of Liberty, we didn't realize (or maybe knew but forgot, I don't know) that curfew was an hour earlier, so we were scrambling to get him back to base and I didn't really have a chance to hug and kiss him goodbye. I was wanting to get a few more pictures with him before I had to leave, but didn't have the chance to. We spent Sunday sleeping all day because I was running a fever and he wasn't feeling as well either. I know I'll be talking to him sooner or later, so I'm trying to not let it bother me. I'm just really hoping for a phone call soon to let me know what's on. I have no clue when we'll be moving up there and haven't felt well enough to pack yet. I just hope he didn't get into trouble for being late!!!! The poor guy... I felt so bad because I think he ended up being about 20 minutes late. :-( He was not happy, understandably. I keep telling myself that it's not going to bother me and that I'll hear from him soon!

Thanks, Melinda. I'm glad to share - I think I get so much info because we agreed that he'd only have to write one letter with all everything he wanted to tell everyone and I'd forward it to all! That gives him more time to put into our letter!

He just said that they have watch every other night for 2 or 4 hours and they are getting their "orders" for A-School next week. He said that they are just going to say what he already knows but it helps him to feel better that he's almost done with BC. :-)

I got a letter today! Hope you did too. Of course it was void of much detail, but oh well. It was still nice to get! :-)

I still don't know what Derek's job is either and I've asked him twice! :-) His recruiter was asking me- he wanted to know first of all. :-)
I hope you get a letter today!! (me too!) :-)

Hi! Happy Belated birthday!! :-) I got a letter from Derek last Wednesday but nothing since. I'm hoping for one tomorrow, but we'll see...I've asked him so many questions that I haven't gotten any answers to, so I'm hoping he answers them soon! :-)

My son Nick was one of the very last sailors assigned to the New York. In fact, he didn't get there in time to have his picture taken for the program so above his name is the ship's logo instead of his face! He went straight from Great Lakes to Av...

The sailors and marines have been given the order to "Man our ship and bring her to life." My son is on the right behind the bunting. It was an amazing day!
