Do not worry I am in a similiar situation. My older son has been in the Navy for 2 year's And graduated boot Camp in Great Lakes In May of 2007. He will be in the Navy 2 years in April. My younger son is not as fit and got hurt 2 times in Boot cam...

Hi Melissa! I was browsing around the Members and seen that you live in Cols GA! Im in Opelika, very close to you! Im a single mom too. My youngest (from my second marriage) joined the Navy this past July and is now in Norfolk on the USS Truman. My oldest(from my first marriage)is 28 and works in Auburn, AL. I know you'll be glad to see your son at PIR; I was so happy and excited I shook all over!:) I wish you and your family the best and its good to know someone close by has a sailor too!

Welcome aboard!!

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

No problem on coming to the Flanagan's thing. Come over and visit us at our Group - we have a couple of moms with boys in our group as well as the 128 girls. We are group PIR 3/20/09 Ship 7 Div 128 USS Chicago hopefully you can find us.

I am a proud Mom of 2 Sailor's. One joined almost 2 yrs ago and is now a PO3 in Bahrain as an IT. The other just joined is now in Div 124 on USS Chicago. He Graduates Mar 20, 2009 in the Great Lakes. I am single and Started a new career in Customer service.

Empty Nest Syndrome

Both of my son's are in the Navy and I could not be a prouder Mom. Since both of my boy' are Army Brat's. I was surprised when the first one joined the Navy . I am so Glad that The oldest has done such a great job of keeping in touch with me and his younger brother whom I miss very much who is know in Boot Camp in Chicago on USS Chicago., He graduate's on Mar 20. , 2009.
