- Hi melissa. My son's name is Justin. He left on 9/22 & Im guessing sabrina left around the same time? We got "the box" Thursday. We live in Fl. I started a group for our division & I would love to stay in touch. How did your daughter sound when she called yesterday? I got justins call at 2:42 am last Tuesday morning & I can't wait to hear from him again. ttys, take care.

- Though it feels like Ashley has been gone for ever I remember that call like it was yesterday. Mine came at 2:18AM and after hearing the loud voices and the tone she had I couldnt fall back asleep. Next week you will receive her box when you will smell her clothes and cry then hopefully the following week a letter. I have 3 weeks down and 5 more to go. Still waiting for another letter and dyeing for a phone call. We just have to remember it is what our daughters chose and how lucky they are to have a secure future. Take care.

- Heather leaves for the MEPS station on Sunday afternoon...we'll have dinner together that night and in the morning she will be sworn in...so the 21st she is up, up and aweigh! It sounds like she and Sabrina will be there the same time.
Hang in there...we'll all get through this together.

She will be terrific, and all her adventures will be a life learning experience and YES it is very hard. but you will come to realise that it is all good. ower kids are stronger then we think they are. and you will cry,and worry, but that is only natural, and it will never go away as long as we Mommi,s exsist. be Happy and Proud for her.

- Yes she is gone. The recruiter picked her up at our home Tuesday evening and took her to Syracuse NY where the MEPS station is. We thought is was better to say good-bye at our home, very, very hard. She left from there Wedensday. We haven't heard from her yet by phone or mail. I am assuming the "kid in the box" will be received today, not looking forward to that either. This waiting game is very difficult, I will not lie and tell you otherwise. At this point I dont have any other information for you. I will be glad to share things as I learn them. I do know this is the best thing for her because her life was really going no0where, maybe that is why it is so hard for me, besides knowwing she will be leaving for 4 years to serve in Japan.

- Hi Melissa, time keeps on slipping, soon you will see her take off in the adventure of her life. and a new adventure for you. you will cry, worry,wait for the first phone call, and then before you know it graduation date. your heart will swell with pride. spend time with her now. My sailor is in Pensacola now, waiting for his school to start. He is in Aviation Electronics. Idon,t know when he will get to come home, but Navy is a wating game. have a BLESSED EVENIG
