- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Was proud
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- keeping myself informed on everything that my son was doing from bootcamp to corpsman school, FMF training, and even mojave viper where he is right now. I look everything up on the internet to reading books like honor courage commitment which I recommen all new navy moms read while their son/daughter is in bootcamp.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

- Hi Melissa...I am so glad you got to see your son. We drove several times on our way to other places and I would see the big banner in front of the house. I wish we had come by and said hi now. It would have been nice to meet you and your husband and Jesse. Melanie and I (she is the other mother I met with) would really like to get something together maybe once a month. I will definitely let you know when we get together next. I will try and stop by sometime to meet you since we live so close. Talk to you soon. Dawn

- Hi Melissa, I live in League City also. In fact I think we live just around the corner from each other. Your son Jesse is or was just home on leave??? My husband stopped and talked to your husband the day Jesse was coming home and told him to come back by. I just didn't want to intrude on his homecoming. I am getting a small group together for dinner or lunch one day or evening. If you are interested please let me know. I would love to meet you. Dawn
