Michele - I'm having issues uploading pictures, no doubt human error. If you would like to see pics from CL & FMTB graduation, please view my profile page

Hi Michele - Now we are going to NC for FMTB graduation 3/6! I wish my son would make up his mind but I can't wait to see him! We will be staying in Wilmington, it's about an hour away but my son likes it much better then CL. We were also able to use Delta Air miles for the flight.

Thank you for the information. I think maybe getting off base would probably be a good thing for Brian too. I appreciate your help.
I've never been to NC before eventhough Brian has been based there for awhile. He is also a corpsman and currently in the sand box. I can't wait to see him again! Thanks again!

Michele, that is great news. Really glad he's moving along, and how wonderful that he gets to come home for a break!!! YAY!! I can only imagine how excited you are! Enjoy your time together, however short!

HI! Just wondering how your sailor ended up last week with the final testing, and of course am hoping he passed and is on to labs!! Mine had to take test 12 twice :-(, but ended up with the best test score he had in all that time! He admitted that he "probably" could have studied harder all along. I reminded him he will reap what he sows! ;-)

Hi Michele. I just read your post about your son struggling and want to tell you he isn't alone. My son had passed all his tests until this week, but only just, and this is a problem he has always had- test anxiety. He was able to retake the test and pass yesterday, so that was a big relief. Great that they have listened to your son's appeal and given him a second chance. I know he must be as excited as my son to get through this part of school and into labs and clinicals VERY soon. Hopefully they will be able to show they know their stuff through this next phase of hands-on training. My thoughts and prayers are will you and your son! Hang in there.

Michele,
I, too, had a GREAT time meeting everyone!

Graduation was something I will NEVER forget. He looked so proud and handsome. It brings tears to my eyes just thinking about it.

That CD was actually mostly from a CD that Leyna made for me before her last high school soccer game! I added a couple songs, but not many. The "Perfect Fan" song gets me every time!!

Jamie is at Great Lakes, too. He's doing some kind of mechanical thing (I'm not mechanically inclined, so I don't really understand it). He should have started school this morning. He'll be there for 19 weeks and then he should get 2 weeks liberty which will be GREAT because that will be between Thanksgiving and Christmas. Christmas at our house this year will be whenever Jamie is in town! Thank heaven there are no little people who would not understand why Santa Claus came to our house on a day other than Dec. 25 -- lol.

He sounds like he's doing well. I talk to him every couple of days. That should pick up when his cell phone arrives tomorrow. He and a bunch of his buddies went in to Chicago on the Monday after graduation for the day. He said they had a good time just goofing off.

I've NEVER been this proud of him. It's like the Navy shook out all the bad stuff and kept all the stuff I love about him. He still has his stupid sense of humor but he's more serious at the same time.

Anyway, if you're ever in Georgia, I am 2 minutes off the interstate. Feel free to stop by.
