My son leaves for boot camp October 23, my heart is breaking and I'm scared to death for him.  He is so immature and does not have a realistic view of the world. In my heart I do know this is the best thing for him, he needs to become a man.  He has grown so distant over the past few months it scares me.  He's never home and doesn't talk about anything, just does a lot of eye rolling. 

How do I join the Sept. group?  My son leaves on Sept. 26 for boot camp.

Hello, I am a mother of 3 sons as well but it ends there :)  Wow, you must be busy. I am much older than you though, wish I was 38 again, those were my best years.  I will be 53 shortly.  My son who has just enlisted and is in his 3rd week of boot camp is married and has a daugher (our 1st grandchild and it was a girl!)  We also have a grandson 6 weeks old from our oldest son and his wife, the youngest son 26 yrs old is still at home with us, he just graduated from college. WOS your son is an air traffice controller, that is a tough job, you must be so proud of him.  Take Care.

"Step back and let him become a man".  :O  That's the hard part, yes?!  Jacob, my oldest of 4, flew to Great Lakes on July 5th for boot camp.  I'm a wreck inside, but have to keep it together, so the others don't lose their minds.  No fair, huh?!
