Hi there, I just joined meridian a school sailors group and noticed your posts about your son having to wait around for 3 weeks after finishing school. Yuck!! Do you know why the wait? is that normal? any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and enjoy your time home with your Sailor!!!

Hello & Welcome to N4M’s!
My name is Catherine the Admin and I want to thank you for joining us! To help you know the “Do’s and Don’ts” for the community- I wrote up a quick little ditty for you to read. So click here and read them (pretty please with a cherry on top because the rules are enforced)! If you have any questions, comments, or concerns afterwards- please don’t hesitate to contact me. So, enjoy your time here and I'm looking forward (along with the community) to reading more about you.
Sincerely, Catherine

Welcome aboard!!

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

Please let me know if you have any questions I can help you with.

About me:
I am 37 years old and my oldest son is in the Navy....He just finished boot-camp in August and then finished "A" school two weeks ago..I am a very proud mom knowing what he is going to be doing with his life...I myself understand cause I was born into the Marine Corps and then married a Marine...So I know what military life is about.... I have been married for the last two years to a wonderful man named Rick...He has been a really great step-dad to both of the boys...He is a Firefighter and First Responder for our local fire dept..I myself am also a First Responder as well and been doing that for the last 8 years....Last year on our first anniversary I found out that I had cancer and would have surgery in June of last year...Today which is the 28th of October I am still going through treatments again..On November 14th I will find out if I have to have chemo or radiation again for the 4th time....Let me tell sometimes its gets sickin' but I guess I have to take the good with the bad...Everyday is a new day and I Thank God each and every day that I can wake up and take that breath and know that I am ok
