Daily Grind(r) for June

Well, here it is, the month of June. What does that mean? It means that my son has been gone for over a year. We miss him so much but I am glad for the technology that allows us to stay in contact. Email, text messages, phone calls, facebook etc. Too cool.

Let's see, where to start? I have a new group of nursing students. They are too much fun. The first semester ones are great but they are just starting out. They are wide eyed and scared. The second semester peeps are more confident in their s… Continue

The Daily Grind(r)

Well, can you believe it is May? The year is moving swiftly and with it come a lot of changes. Jaime graduated from A school on Friday the 1st and left several hours later on his next journey. He drove about 800+ miles. He was going to drive straight through, you know how guys are. But thankfully, he stopped at a hotel and crashed. He is in love with the location and says it is peaceful.

I started my next class. I have 2 more to go until I am DONE! This has been the longest 2 years and I know t… Continue

New additions etc.

Well, we found out yesterday that Jaime & Ariana are having a girl. We even got to see the 3D/4D ultra sound pics. Big feet! At least we can start planning for the baby.

Today we went to the Renaissance Fair in Apache Junction. The day started out fine but deteriorated as the wind started to blow around 30mph. The dust was horrible. I got some really cool shots that I will post.

I hope that everyone is having a nice weekend.

Busy, busy

Well, my group just finished their first rotation at a nursing home. I have to say that this hasn't been the most positive experience but they are moving on to the hospital setting next week and are sooo excited. I am too, truth be told. At least they will be busy, paired up with a nurse and doing more than watching their patient sleep. LOL

The "kids" are going to Tallahassee next Saturday for a 3D/4D sono to see what they are having. I can't wait. It's 190+/- miles from P'cola. Should be getti… Continue

Daily Grind(r) - Latest

Well, Ariana flew to P'cola yesterday. She is 19 weeks pregnant and now has a belly. She is so cute. Jaime is happy that she will be there for a month. I will miss her while she is gone. She promises to take lots of pictures of Jaime.

I finished another class today. Sheesh! I am so tired. My next class starts on the 9th. I will then have 3 classes to go until graduation in December. I can't wait. My big fear is the hospital will cut the graduate program. I just have to put one foot in front of… Continue

Hey Lisa. Congratulations on baby girl. So glad Jamie and Ariana are doing well. Haven't been on much as I spend winter here in Florida and don't get on computer as much. Jake is doing well. He has six more months in Norfolk before going to A school. He seems to be improving. He gets home quite a bit. He has a girlfriend going to Miami University here in Ohio. We are only about a 10 hour drive from Norfolk.
Well Ariana is half way through!!!! My time seems to fly by sometimes. Please keep us informed and wish her the best for me. Sandy

LOL! I guess. A baby is hard period! I know these 3 boys definately give us a run for it. =) But they will be amazing parents. Let me know if she registers anywhere for a baby shower, and we will look at it online and send them a baby gift. I LOVE shopping for little girl stuff.
