About me:
I am just had my 50th birthday and my daughter Tabatha came home to suprise from her duty station. My wonderful and very understanding husband's name is Mike. I work for the Heart Hospital of Austin as a RN and specialize in Cardiovascular Nursing. This is my 28th year as a nurse and I still enjoy being a nurse, which is rare these days. I love to scrapbook, make cards, lots of other crafts, go on vacations, fishing, going to mucisals and having fun with my friends and my family. I am so greatful to be my dausghter's mother. She lives her life to the fullest and takes her role in the Navy very seriously.
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Needed to learn more about it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My daughter was on her own and she was going to be ok and what she needed most was for me to reinforce how truely proud her father and I were of her. I let her know that I would always be there for her to have a sounding board when things get tough or she wants to think before she leaps.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Mona,
Where in HI is your daughter stationed? Is she on shore or on a ship or sub? My son is an SK in Pearl Harbor. He's been there since June 08.

My sailor son, Derek, is a MA (Master at Arms) - He just returned from three months in Kuwait and on oil platforms in the Persian Gulf. He is now stationed in Virginia.
