Hey Mike4, Let me give you a new and insightful point of view on this situation. As you see by my name I am a Navy Racruiter I run a small station in rural missouri. This QNJ process is in fact disappointing; however, there is nothing I or anyone ...

Hello Jim!
I talked to Bruce last night and he is doing well (except for the two wisdom teeth he had pulled on Friday), he wanted me to let you know that he has taken the Third Class Petti Officer's Exam but he won't know the results until next month, but he is pretty confident that he passed it with flying color's!!! he also wanted me to tell you that when he comes home in December we will be dropping by the Recruiting office. thank you again for helping him and this comes from him also. he also wanted me to mention that he is a volunteer soccor coach for the special olympics!! well, anyway, thanks again!

Hi Jim!
I just wanted to let you know how my son Bruce is doing, he is in Norfolk for 3 more years, I think, he has been in the Navy for a year already! I can't believe how much time has gone by, it seems like yesterday when you and another recruiter came to see him and got him started. I want to thank you again for doing what you did for him and for giving him the encouragement to join the Navy, he is doing so good, he has been home a couple of times now, at Christmas time and he was home this last June and it was great having him here at home! he has grown up so much and has more confidence now than ever before. he wanted me to tell you that he appreciates everything that you all did for him and for believing in him too! thank you also from his Dad and I.

Hi Jim, I saw you on the AT group and just wanted to tap into your wonderful knowledge and expert experience. My son is graduating next week from Pensacola for ATI. He will be heading to Whidbey Island, WA next and will be attached to a squadron with P-3's. I read that it's better to be ATO rather then ATI, but does it really matter? He seems thrilled about his orders and we're excited for him of course. What can you tell me about the field and that air base? Any info or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Jim, what do you think about the intensity of the posts on Mom's of Aviation Rescue Swimmers? I started to type in a response to something I read and deleted it thinking it might reveal information that shouldn't go out publicly. I love learning more about what my son is doing, and I also know taht information reduces anxiety for moms. ARe we doing ok? Or are we getting too deep? Beth

Thanks for the info about AW. My son did pick non acoustic, so that's great that you recommend that too. He's in Pensacola, but I think you think he's in Maine? Maybe someday? He would love to talk with you, so I sent you a "PM with a friend request" Thanks so much

Hi, so wonderful to find you here, with your experience and knowledge!
My son is just about finished with A School in P.cola for Aircrew. He is studying for AW on the P-3. Any thoughts on that job in your opinion? Thanks so much for your time.
