Hey! Do you have a date for 187/188 for BattleStations? You can just message it to me. I have an idea when they go (numerical order) but would love confirmation. Thanks!
That's a little earlier than Josh left so maybe they aren't in the same PIR date afterall! How are you holding up?! I am still waiting on my form letter!
Okay glad he's had one more day w/ you and your son. Be prepared for a late phone call tonight or tomorrow morning.
Please keep me posted and looking forward to seeing your "I have a Sailor" post in a few weeks!
So he is gone now? I hope things go well. When did you get the I'm here call? Usually it's fairly late. I hope that havinghis cell with him help ya'll with the good byes.
Now for you to keep busy, try not to dwell on what is going on in GL....he is in good hands. Remember you mantra will be "No news is good news" He should get a call in 3 weeks or so. Watch for the 847 area d=code and the id is usually "payphone" Sometimes they get a quick info call before the 3 week call...the id then is US Government. Just in case have references addresses phone numbers nearby....employers, scout masters, church pastors, friends, teachers, etc...
How old is your child? If he's old enough have him draw a picture for your hubby and send it when you get the addy...or trace his hand print...it would be cool to trace your hand print and then trace his inside it and under it say "waiting for your hand to join ours" or something like that.
Do you have any specific questions? Just tell him that they will be yelling and cursing from the time he gets on the bus. The first 2-3 weeks are the hardest and then will get better. You can call the recruiter for the addy 72 hours after he leaves. Leave the addy on my wall so I can tell you if it looks correct or not. You'll get the box and form letter a week or two after he leaves.
