Got "the box" today

Well, I got "the box" today. I was a little surprised as she didn't arrive in Great Lakes until this past Monday night. It was a strange feeling going through my daughter's things. I just held her shirt that she wore Monday for the longest time and did not want to let it go. It still smelled like her perfume. Hi Karen. Thanks for adding me. I know exactly how you feel about being lost. I worried myself right into the hospital , with my blood pressure acting crazy. That must be a common injury. I read a lot of kids get that in BC. I heard from him the day I was freaking out, which was last Weds and he promised to call today to let me know what the doc said. How is your daughter doing? Mine was supposed to start physical therapy soon. Hope yours is getting well as well, and we can get to that graduation soon.

Hi Karen, Wanted to welcome you to AECF group. I see your daughter is going to be an FC. Our son recently graduated from his C school, he is an FC as well and is now with his first ship in...Hawaii. My hubby was an FC for 10 years as well, it's a great rate with lots of schooling on the front end. I will be heading out of town for a few days but if you have any questions please let me know.

karen,dress warm for graduation.it will be here sooner than you think.it is a wonderful experience and bring kleenex to wipe the tears of joy.i am sure nikki will get liberty for the weekend and check out the motels in the area by googling great lakes naval base.there will be a list of hotels at all prices.i stayed,i think,at the marriot about 3 miles for the base and it had an indoor pool.check it out.speak to you soon.peter

When my son's box arrived, I was with my assistant from work, she promptly picked up the box and used my keys to cut through the tape. I didn't know what to do, part of me wanted to be alone at that moment so I could open it up and cry for a while, the other part of me wanted to wait till my husband came home so he could open it, and then I could cry some more!? (Keep in mind , I'm am normally not a big cryer!) Well, once she opened the flaps of the box, and she caught a whif of his lucky fishing shoes, I was left alone with the box for the rest of the day!!!! Thats ma boy!!!!
