I just saw carol's post on Fallen Heroes after you posted to my page. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop! I knew she had multiple health issues, but this is scary. :( I agree, no Gold Star Mother should lack support in a time like this or ever!! PM me your info and I'll do whatever I can, all the way across the country in WA where Adam last served. Have you posted this need to the Sailor Rescue Group or would you like me to? Susan, who heads it, is a fellow Washingtonian and friend on and off site. Let me know. Bless you for jumping in, you are an honorable man and good friend to all Ordy.

p.s. oops, sorry about the misidentification of Cindy. :) Tell her we all said "Thanks" for being there in person when we can't be.

Hi Ordy, I'm honored to accept your friend request, thanks for asking! Cindy must be your wife, she's lovely. :) I'm sure my Sailor son would love to take a crack at driving that car to it's full speed capacity. LOL He bought a Suzuki Boulevard in the spring and this summer made a 6 hour cross state trip into about 4! (he was a groomsman in my best friends son's wedding in the am, left at noon and wanted to be at another buddy's wedding in the late afternoon/early evening) I really don't want to know how fast he was going, but it was over 100 degrees out and he arrived with 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his arms and hands! BOYS! :P All I could say was, but son, you're a CORPSMAN, you know better!! LOL Thanks for all you and the guys continue to do to help support our Navy families and honor their Sailors, past and present. God Bless.

Thank you Ordy for your advice and I totaly agree with all that you say. I only get to talk with him like every other day. The last time I talked with him he did say he was going to stop by medical and talk with them. I sure hope he follows through with what he says. Because you know us moms we tend to worry. I am not going to get too upset at this point. I am going to just pray and hope he follows through with getting it looked into. I am also going to keep emailing him about it until he goes. Yes I really did not want everyone on the groups to know all this. Some things I just really like to keep a little more private. And thank you for respecting that. Once again thank you and I will try and keep you posted.

Ordy,
I hate to bother you but I am a little concerned about my AO son. You know he is currently on the Nimitz and has been since they left in July. He is land based in Lemoore. Any ways I was just wondering if you know is it common for an AO on deployment to loose 23 lbs in 2 and 1/2 months time? He says he is working real hard and he is on the flight deck and also says he eats three meals a day. But the weight is just falling off of him. He is not a big guy to start with. He has a long time to go I hope he don't loose any more. He even says he does not feel ill. Anyway just wanted to see if it was common to loose weight like that while on deployment.
Thanks
Kim

I got a call from him from near Richmond so he was only a short distance from home. He had put Tranx in his transmission last weekend and that was clearing things up as far as the shifting. Wherever he ran into some elevation he said that the car started running like it was supposed to and has been fine since so all is well and he returns to duty tomorrow.

Thank you SO much for your contact. I am sorry I was not available, my husband was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma earlier this year and we walked in the Light the Night walk for a cure in Tulsa last night. He survived well....I made the mistake of doing the walk in a chill with a cold.
Brad isn't very good at letting anyone help him, I hope his pride isn't going to keep him from having a safe drive back to VA. Thank you so much for contacting us both. He is so funny about how I am able to come up with "mom's" everywhere...LOL. N4M is priceless.

I haven't heard from you in a while. I hope everything is going well. I was wondering if you were going to get to the Western Pa Meet & Greet this sunday.
Its in Cranberry at the Quaker Steak & Lube. Love to see you if you can make it.

Whew - glad that you are okay. Please don't feel stressed to check in - and hang out - just concerned. Very glad to hear that SA is going well. Hitches are what give us that 'stuff' to work around them and hopefully be better prepared in the future. You are all in my prayers.
Thanks for asking about Brianna. I have new picts from their recent visit on my page. She is growing. We had great success with her eating when they were here - she switched off a bottle to a sippy cup and was even sucking. BIG STEPS. I have learned that there is a new concern is her teeth and the decay the dentist found they are talking about pulling the only tooth that she has on her upper jaw. That is scarry. I am greatful to be able to read the posts from the Cleft sites. We continue to be so very amazed at the work and how it all comes together.
Things have been very 'different' since the lay off. While I've been very busy with family stuff (gads I could stay home full time and still not get it all done) I am finding it is more stressfilled than work. Just different stress' and other folks conception that I am 'available' (Grandparent's). Seems like everyone has some adjusting to get used to. Part of it is that Dan (my husband) has made himself available and the stuff around here has been badly neglected (not looked at till it is broken); and because hs is so 'available' at a 'moment's notice' he has given the impression that I would be too and that everything can wait - or is just fine. Perceptions.
We went our our annual family reunion/mini vacation. We had the infirmary-Ty (the Sheltie) had a torn toe nail that was infected; Muppet (the Terrier) had a pulled hamstring; Owen (grandson -9) had a fever; and Dan was not well. I think he was scared to tell me what exactly was wrong (not the heart again-I probably would have been in ER this time). So, I pulled Nurse duty. I was more tired when I got home than when we left! Everyone is doing much better. We are blessed in so many ways.
Take care - me
