Pam, is your son's name Jake? I just saw that in a previous comment you made. If so, I'm fairly certain your son is friends with my husband. Jake is very nice and he helped Brenden and I move into our apartment

Pam, I wish we could tell each other our Sailors' last name- it would make things so much easier! What is your sons first name? I try and get first names out of my husband since I feel weird calling everyone by their last names and such..

Welll ladies, I thought since I had contact with my son...I would leave this site to wives and girlfriends but....I am soooo frustrated and upset that my husband told me to get back on and see if anyone can give me some answers.

Poor Mandy "Sailor's Sweetheart" had to deal with my crying all ready..you are such a sweetie! Bert is still not in phase 2...he has done additional watches and has taken and retaken the friggin test and misses a word or two. He wanted to be with our family this weekend yet he is the ONLY one that has not moved on...anyone know what is going on :-( thanks!

Pam - after PIR, did you get the whole weekend with your son? My son PIRs on 9/25 and is going into AECF also so he will be moving across the street. I was just sort of wondering what to expect for PIR weekend....

Hey Pam - welcome to the AECF group. It is a great rate with lots of schooling on the front end...once school starts! Holds have been really long this year but hopefully that will change when the new fiscal year starts. Our son is a FC and just graduated from C school and my hubby was an FC for 10 years so if you have questions, let me know. And if there are others in your PIR group that are going into AECF - -please let them know about our group, it is very active with alot of great support!

Pam, I just got a letter from my son today, and found out that he and your son are bunkmates. That is totally cool. He is looking forward to Battlestations.
I myself am counting down the days, altho he's a Grad and Go, so I won't get a lot of time to spend with him.

Pam, we are recently moved FROM WA state (well almost 2 yrs now) we lived up near B'ham.
Wow, after reading some of the threads below, I realize my son has NOT been real forthcoming with news of his Division. All I've heard from him is how he enjoys some of the classes, is on laundry duty as well as being a 'stick man'. He's looking forward to PIR, that's for sure.

Pam, you are welcome but I am simply paying back the graciousness that was shown to me when I first arrived here. I was a mess and with the help and support from these ladies and the PIR group we formed I grew into a real Navy Mom. I'm sure I still have a lot to still learn and go through but I have confidence now that I can do it. If you need anything feel free to ask.

Awww, thank you! That is so nice to hear! Derek is a pretty level headed guy. I'm sorry that your son is having a rough time, but I'm glad Derek and him are friends.... and I will be moving there soon, so I can help look after him for you :)
