I made a mistake with the name of Fort Godon...I meant to say Fort Gordon in Augusta, Georgia. Home of the Master's Golf Tournament.

Laurilyn, That is very nice of you to invite the sailors. I hope that they learn of your offer and take you up on it - thinking KP duty for those who show up!! Enjoy the holiday!

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Let your children grow and you will grow right along with them!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Thank you so much for your positive response. Sometimes I feel like people don't think I'm proud of my son if I complain, but nothing could be further from the truth, but you seem to truly understand. People would probably be surprised to find I still have one in the nest, and if it weren't for him I don't know what I'd do.

How long has your son been in the NAVY? I will ask my son if he knows him. What is his job? Are you planning on visiting your son while he is at Tinker?
