Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Needed to learn more about it, Was proud, Was relieved, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Life changed, but it goes on. It's not always easy, because you can't be in touch as often as you would like, but that is part of the process. My relationship with my husband has gotten stronger, because now we really only have each other on a daily basis, and that has been good, too!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

Hi Penny! Just wanted to let you know that I bought special crayons for that quilt project. They were made specfically for using on fabric. I want to say you can use regular ones also, but I'd have to research it to be sure. Most craft stores should have the crayons even though I bought them many moons ago:) Also, watch out for instructions with your iron set.
You and your students quilt will probably make her cry so have tissues handy! Happy quilting!!!

Good morning Penny. Long time no chat. Just thought I would check in and see how Sam is doing? Danny seems to to be doing very well and happy with his decision to join the Navy. Hope all is well with you!

Good morning! Yes - crazy year end stuff here too...field trips, assessments, report cards, packing up, wild behaviors...We are going to see Evan this weekend. We would like to get him home once before he heads to CA, but we are not sure if this is going to happen. Happy spring!

Well hi there! Danny has left GL (even though he was told he would be staying!). We got a call the Wed after grad and said he was at the airport. So now he is all settle in down in Pensacola but hasn't started any schooling yet. I guess they are backed up so he is just in holding. Danny just asked for his clothes also. It's funny last week he knew come the weekend he could wear them but thought he would just go shopping. He must of seen the prices of clothes and decided some of his old ones were just fine! Can Sam have his computer and such now as well? We did send Danny all his electronics! He seems so happy to feel like a regular person again with his Ipod and all! He said his room is just like a dorm room with a frig and micro. A bath for just he and his roommate so that's nice. Better than our college son! Life seems so quiet now but as you said we are all adjusting! We still have 2 more in high school, but I still miss him! Take care for now and how nice it was to meet you at the graduation!

Hi Penny,
Have fun in GL and check the weather forecast before you leave! I was there last Friday for my son's PIR and it snowed like crazy. My husband told me to pack boots, and I laughed. High heels were not a good choice for me that day. lol The PIR is an awesome experience! I thought I was going to burst with pride!!! Good luck to your son. :)
