Hi Pickles
I was just on Kaye's page (I'm a born and bred Hoosier relocated to Illinois.) I see you quilt. Did you know about our Heads At Ease program, sewing individualized pillow cases for our military and injured? Let me know if you are interested or look it up on my page.
Blessings
Carol

Thanks so much for your note and prayers (they really are the best medicine, no?!). I'm doing great -- better than the doc anticipated. I'm still getting in/out of chairs delicately, but can climb my stairs with no problem. The energy is a little low... sometimes a little snooze on the sofa catches me up!

Those sailor hugs were good medicine too! I was so happy while son was here... as always, it's hard to let him go. But, we're already looking forward to see if spring break will work for a visit to Washington. We're spending Thanksgiving with another Navy family in the area, so I'm sure we'll have blue candles on the table. I hope your holiday is family-filled and blessed! Hugs, k.

Hi Pickles, It is so very comforting to hear someone who has experianced lymphoma in action and can say it is highly treatable and responsive. I realy do not know much about it at all. My mom goes to see her oncologist next thursday to find out more and what the treatments will be. My mom and I decided it would be best to tell my son and we already have and it went well. I appreciate everything you have told me. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. I just got my first email from Chris Tues. so I feel a little better. Is this your son's first cruise? I feel like I need to take a class in how the navy operates!

Hi Pickles, love the name! My son is also a gold crew member of the USS Alabama since August. I live about as far away from you as possible I think, in NC. Good to know I'm not the only golden member here.

OK... let's try this one more time! Marie has 'opened' the group, so you don't have to request membership anymore. So click here and you'll be on the B/B/K page. At the top, just under the tabs ("Photos, Videos, etc."), click on "+ Join the B/B/K Group." If the pixies don't interfere, you should be in!

Hi, girlfriend! I asked the B/B/K admins about you. They said they have no new requests. Don't know what happened... but ask to join again. We'll get you in one way or another! Hugs, k.

Ah, here's your post to me! (Don't worry... I've done the same thing). Glad to know you're running 'full speed ahead' now. I hope everything works out fine for your son and family. Hugs (again)! k.

Dear Kaye, Thank you so very much for your thorough reply. Your suggestions were very helpful and the blog post and document were just what I needed. Such relief that I just bawled first! I got an e mail sent off to my son and looking forward to "modified". You have no idea how much you've helped. And just to be added as your friend and have this support is a godsend. Bless you and hugs right back at ya, Chris
