Hello everyone ! Haven't been on for a while. Thought I'd catch up. My doughter just made DC3 Just hope i get some pics of the ceremony.Getting ready to go to San Diego to spsend 2 weeks with her before july deployment.Bringing her 16mo. son home ...
Thank you for sharing this information I knew some but have forgotten my father was in the navy and tought my brothers and me this years ago i will pass along to my kids and grandchildren A very importaant lesson to be remembered for sure.

- That's great that she loved it so much! I'll have to tell my son, maybe help ease his disappointment to getting SD...I know, most people would love that, but he's homesick. Since this will be his first ship I have so much to learn. I'm excited for him. He's doing well in the Navy and doesn't regret it all, but I think he'll be even happier once he's doing the job he's trained for.
The other day he met (and I hope I get this right...remember, I'm still learning!) the MCPON. Is that right? It's the top enlisted man in the Navy. Neither he nor my son was in uniform and my son didn't know who he was until the man had finished asking him all these questions. Then he introduced himself to my son and his friend. My son said when he walked away he and his friend were giggling like little girls and my son said, "Dude, I've got to call my mom!" He was so excited you would have thought he met a supermodel! I was excited for him. They were just headed to the NEX and happened upon him!

He's finishing up C school and is to report in the summer. He's already in SD. Thanks for anything you can tell me.

There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.
