About me:
I am a wife and a mom of two wonderful amazing children. I am so proud of my 19 year old son about his decision to go into the Navy. I didn't like the idea at first, but once I prayed about it, I felt alright. Knowing that God is going to look after His son (my son). Now my son has graduated Boot Camp 2/09. He is now married to a wonderful girl and they have made me a grandma on Dec. 22,2009
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Thinking about joining
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hi Roxanne,
What a really nice surprise for me to hear from you! Thanks so much for getting in touch. I hope it was a wonderful wedding. You are going to love being a Grandmother! I have one Grandson and he is a joy. He will be 3 in August (Gavin is my younger son's little boy). I hope alll goes well for them. When I look at the pictures of the cold winter at Great Lakes, it doesn't seem that long ago when it was that cold at Great Lakes. Does your son like it in Virginia? It is a nice duty station. My son, John is still at Great Lakes. He came home last weekend for the first time being home since he left for boot camp 8 months ago. We live about 250 miles from Great Lakes. He has been in school at GL and will be there for his A School which is another 4 months and then he will go to the fleet. John is an ET (electronic tech). Its a lot of school but he will enjoy the field he is working in. I hope you will have a really nice 4th of July. I am at my younger son's tonight and he lives in Maumee which is on the edge of Toledo, Ohio. I live less than an hour from him. Thanks a lot for staying in touch with me Roxanne. That meant a lot.

Mother’s Day Blessing

Just as God gives to each rose
A gentle touch of dew
And gives unto each evening sky
The lovely sunset’s hue

So may he give to you
From his enduring love
Great happiness and hearts’ content
And blessings from above.

Wishing you a very Happy Mother's Day from Brenda S., aka, Sailor Moon
