I got a letter from Jordan yesterday! He said Hell week was over! And he made it through, But also said He thought hell just begun, because the final phase was about to take place! Hopein he was just kiddin about that. But sure hes not....

Sherry, Nicks Mom said… - Hi, No call from Nick this weekend.....very dissapointing. He is signed up for the dive team, underwater welding. Scary I know. He goes to dive prep right after BC and it is also right there. Then off to A-school after that. He has been working with some recruiter/divers for months before going to bootcamp so I feel good about him being ready at least with the swimming aspect. He was suppose to start BC back in NOV. but qualified for the dive team so they pushed his BC back. He had all that time to train and get his endurance up. Being under the ocean is a whole different thing than being in a swimming pool!!! I'm scared for him. Tell me more about what your son is going in for. Corpseman?

- Nick is in Ship 4 Div 835. He has only called once, that was 2 saturdays ago. He has to go to something called Dive Prep directly following Bootcamp which is right there at the traing command. Then he will go to his A-school. I'm not sure where that is. I have sent him 3 letters so far this week. I'll try to get another out tonight on my way home from work. I miss him. =(

- It's always good to get any letters from them. I'm glad you got your letter!!! It's terrible waiting for mail isn't it! I haven't booked our flight yet, it would be like a 16 hour drive for us here in TX. You are pretty close huh? I need to be saving up for the trip. I hear there are pictures to be bought, and something called a Keel (some kind of bootcamp yearbook) I have no idea how much those are. Nick said in his last letter (we have gotten 2 from him now) that they just got fitted for his dress uniforms. I'm sure they look sharp.

- I just got a letter from Nick that said they had to tread water for thirty minutes holding a brick out of the water, and the brick couldn't get wet! That would be hard for ANYONE! He also said "The days I get mail are good days. I could have a crappy day and get one letter and its a pretty good day." I have been trying to write alot but will try a little harder after reading that!

- I am the mother of Jordan who is in NROTC program DIV.261 right now.He just turned 20 this year and I cant even begin to tell you how hard it is with out him here. I cant wait till he can call home so I can talk to him ....I MISS HIM DEARLY!!!! He has a sister Courtney who just found out she is going to have a baby that he doesnt know about !!! If there is anything else youd like to know just ask. SSSSHHHHH!! on the baby cuz we dont want him to know till he graduates! - From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- ( none as of yet) But I can tell you one thing .......I couldnt be more proud of the decision he has made to join the Navy! He signed up for Hospital Corpsman for 5 yrs.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Almost over!
Im so excited Boot Camp is almost over....... 5 more days and I can see my son! I was so happy when he got to make a phone call on Friday as it was my husbands & My 22 anniversary. And it was him 2 nights in a row......... its so nice to hear his voice, although he was going hoarse, from battle stations. And we talked for an hour last night. OMG!!! Call Home
Im so happy Jordan finally got his call home tonight. He sounded good from what I could tell I could barley hear him. He said he finally passed his swim test, and thats why he couldnt call home earlier in the week. I cant tell how good it feels just to know hes ok. Thanks for all your encouragement!
