Profile Information

About me:
I am the mom of 2 kids. Casey is my oldest at 20 and Shauna is my youngest at 18. I spent 8 years in the Navy myself and really, really enjoyed it. I spent almost 2 yrs in Cuba with a couple stints in TX & MS. I was then stationed at Naval Air Station (NAS) Whidbey Island in Washington State where I was discharged.

Both my kids are Navy Brats as their dad & I were both active duty when we had them. My family has the military in our blood as my grandfather was in the Army, my dad was an Officer in the Army and then went on to retire from the DOD as a civilian working for the Navy. I enlisted in the Navy and then my sister enlisted in the Air Force.
I am here to support or represent my:

Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
Bootcamp sure has changed since I went through it! I also learned that I didn't know I could miss my son as much as I do!!!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
The Navy has a lot to offer

Okay! That makes more sense! Did your son have that ATT class?

Sandi,
I need a big favor. I am still a little confused about the class that my son took before A school. Since your son is the only other CTM that I know of, I was hoping you would pick his brain for me. With your Navy experience, you may even have heard of it. This is what he said in his last email: "all ctm's go to NATTC for ATT. " He did that class for about 8 weeks and starting Jan 8th he will start A school. He said that usually they do A school first and then this NATTC, but he did the NATTC first. Has your son mentioned any of this? Thanks!

Well, I went to visit my son there :) He is with VQ1 but doing his shore duty as an instructor/boss there. He helped create some new department and he won't tell me where he is for fear that I would call him LOL. I did before when he was with VQ1 and got teased about it from the guys. :X He reupped Oct 31 and is now going to join VQ2 his sister squadron. Brad was one of the Whidbey 24 with Shane.
