About me:
Hi! I am just trying to figure all of this Navy stuff out! There's a lot to learn! Our entire family is sooo proud of Zach (our sailor), he really has accomplished a lot in my book. I love the letters and cherish the rare phone calls from him. I am proud of him and stand behind him in whatever or wherever this may take him to. UPDATE Well now we have sailed through graduation and are more proud than ever...not many things bring tears to his daddy's eyes but Zach did this day! Us moms always tear up it seems but I was especially touched to see the emotion flowing from father to son. He is an awesome man...thank God there are men and women still willing to protect our country and freedom.
I am here to support or represent my:
Zachery
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid, Was proud, Encouraged him/her
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
The power of prayer...it has gotten us through this transition. I also learned that I am not the only parent that does not know the navy lingo!!
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made
Okay everybody...we got a 14 minute phone call from Zach today!!! He sounds so good and upbeat. He said battlestations end on Monday. Today is his birthday and he said he has had a pretty good day...he hasn't been yelled at and he got a Gatorade!! lol

Zach's A school

Well...Zach called yesterday and was at the airport heading to A school in Pensacola, Florida. I thought I would be alright after getting to see him at graduation but it is still really tough but I am so incredibly proud of him. As I watched him throughout the weekend I saw a huge change in him but most of all I saw a man...not a boy anymore. I saw respect and dignity in him and rightly so...I don't think he nor any other person serving in any military branch know just how thankful we are to hav… Continue

Hi how are you? How long has your son been in the Navy? Where is he stationed and on what ship? What is his job? You can e-mail me at angierat456@yahoo.com, so that we can talk. I did some training at the long term care facility there next to the hospital. Powers Restaurant is a great plaace to eat. Look forward to hearing from you.

This has been quite an experience! Just when you think that you can't be more proud of your kids, they show you again how great they are. Thanks for everything! Hope you all have a safe trip back tomorrow.

Well, I just got a phone call from Bryan stating that he pass on the battleship test. So Graduation is this Friday!!! Yippee I have my hotel reserved, my mother, fiancee, and I are heading out Thursday morning. Its an 8 hour trip but well worth it. Bryan stated that he might have watch on Sunday but leaves Monday so we get Liberty with him Friday and Saturday...I am so pumped up...I am not going to be able to sleep until I see him. He also stated that one other guy in his division is going with him to Texas. He also said I would recognize him because right after we get our hand stamped we will see him passing out programs....My heart is just beating so fast I am so excited to see my baby oh sorry if he heard me call him that I probably would be in trouble...lol...well looking forward to seeing you all at Flanagan's for Meet and Greet...I will be the one bouncing around...just kidding...have a safe trip everyone...2 days and counting....thanks for your support these last months...
