My name is Mandy and my husband graduated boot camp Aug. 28th, 2009. We have an 18 month old daughter named Sophia and we will be moving to Great Lakes, IL very soon for his A-School.

Thanks so much for thinking of Bert...he just loves all of you and feels like you are family. Tara and I were talking last night about Derek and Bert getting together over the holidays....we think the guys don't want to get too far from their mutual link...it's going to be hard for them to come home then go back. Now Bert has someone who understands!!! It'll be interesting to see Bert's old life mesh with his new life. I'll talk to you soon.....I am so glad I have you!!! Thanks so much :-) Mary

I think of you sooo often!!! I hope all is going well for you...so yes Bert and Tara usually have a New Year's party so hopefully we'll see you. We live too far for you to drive back so plan on staying overnight if you do come. :-)
Bert said you have a little network of families with little ones...that sounds great for you and Sophia. He sounded much better the last time we talked which was about a week or so ago. I guess he is getting adjusted and is starting to get into some kind of "routine". He likes school especially doing this with Derek and their other buddy Galenda?? not sure of the spelling....not sure what he is going to do for Thanksgiving...he has a lot of family options..he just has to call them and let them know...take care and keep in touch! Mary

1986 To the left from the entrance. I really like these apartments. I feel safe whenever Robert has to stay on base for duty. We need to schedule a play date or something. Now that I have most everything done I'm getting bored during the day.

Get moved in ok? I finally got most of my stuff unpacked and set up. Only have the bedroom left to unpack. I love the apartments! We got the Thunderbird floorplan and it's actually a lot roomier than I thought it was going to be. Hope everything is going good!

He was on enterprise. I forgot the name of the one is on now. I'm soooo excited. I just flew in today and they're delivering our stuff on the 30th. We definately need to get together once were both settled! I love the apartments. We went up there today and got our key.

Everything worked out...... amazing!!!! We had such a great weekend.....Bob drove to GL in time to pick up Bert for the reception and we dropped him off early this morning. Next week hopefully the girlfriend will visit waaay toooo many family members to introduce to her so next weekend is better for her. I hear that's the big move for you...how wonderful!!! Thanks for your support here and there!

Thanks sweetie..we still don't know about the wedding...he is more bummed about the girlfriend not being there than anything.
