FYI - Southwest has a military rate - sometimes way cheaper than reg fares and you can book up to one day in advance. When you check fares you will see on bottom a military phone number that you call - one time they held for me for 3 days because ...

I just talked to Laurence. He passed test three, and Monday he gets to phase up. He will be able to leave base. He also said he is on duty this weekend.

Welcome Alli. It is very confusing! I know that my son has test three today and will be home on Dec. 18. Other than that, I too get lost ALOT! I do enjoy the daily conversations that we have. I missed not talking while he was on the "Other Side".

Hi Alli- My son has been at hm school for only 2 weeks now. He just got good info yesterday. So I hope they give that info to your son today. Believe me, it is confusing. I'm glad we have each other to share with:):)

Beverly said… - Hi Sandi!!! It is a little easier being able to talk to our kids. But still an adjustment!! Are you doing okay?? It has been so weird just knowing that our kids are in the military. Alot to get used to. I hope Amber is feeling better now that her birthday passed by. It had to be hard on you too Sandi. David's birthday is Oct. 4th. I've already been wondering what it will feel like. So Amber started her class?? I hope she is happy. She's such a sweet girl Sandi. David will start his class on Oct. 16th. He is doing great. He loves Monterey. And loves being in the Navy. Isn't it amazing when you think about what they've accomplished??? Unbelievable!!!
I have thought about you so often. It was so nice to talk to you the weekend of PIR. We didn't get to say good-bye. But now we found each other again!!!! That's why I love this site. How is your husband doing?? Has he been dealing with Amber being gone okay?? That weekend was so wonderful. It will always be one of the best few days that we'll have in our lifetime. And seeing our kids walk into the graduation was such a beautiful sight.
Is your other daughter still planning on going into the Navy?? You'll be back in Great Lakes again!!! How are you doing with that Sandi?? What does she want to do after boot camp??
