- I attend Western Michigan University, majoring in accounting. My longtime boyfriend of 6 years (and now finace!) decided after getting his Associates Degree to serve our country and join the Navy. I miss him very much! I can't wait to graduate, get married in January and join him in Pearl Harbor!

- To let him go do what he needs to and be as supportive as I can be from far away, since I'm still finishing school.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:

- AS YOU CAN TELL BY MY MESSAGE I SENT YOU IM INCREDIBLY WORRIED NOT HEARING FROM MY SAILOR IN ALMOST 20 DAYS.. HOW ABOUT YOU? BUT OTHER THEN THAT IN THE LAST PORT.. ME AND MY SAILOR ACTUALLY BOOKED MY HOTEL FOR THE FIRST WEEK I GET THERE, BOOKED A WEDDING ON HALE KOA BEACH AT DUSK ON DEC 27, AND CALLED THE NAVY HOUSING PEOPLE TO FIND OUT THAT WE WONT WAIT AT ALL FOR HOUSING WE SHOULD MOVE IN THE NEXT DAY! I'll bet you're getting into the homestretch of planning your wedding. I totally understand that Justin wants those dolphins in time for the wedding. I'll bet he gets them too!!
We're doing well, planning on going down to Goose Creek for Thanksgiving to have dinner with Zach and any of his buddies who can't get home for the holidays. I'm looking forward to having a house-full of sailors. Thank goodness we can rent on-base housing so we'll have a full kitchen and living room for the crowd. Zach's doing well in school, doesn't seem to be quite so stressed as some of the other guys get, either that or he's good at hiding it from me!
We'll have to try to get a group together again soon. It seems everyone is so busy right now, but maybe we can pull something off. Take care, have fun with the wedding plans, and I hope Justin's infection clears up with no problems.

Kathy B said… - Sarah - We're doing well. Katie is my only one left at home now. My daughter in the navy bought a house in Norfolk and we are going there for Thanksgiving. My Marine son, Joey and his wife just moved up to Rochester Hills. Michele is back at Wayne, tho she's going to Pennsylvania this week for a cross country meet. I'm working at a new nursing home and chasing Katie everywhere... so my family is doing well.
My dad was in the hospital and now has had to go into an assisted living place, so that's been our challenge to deal with.
Glad to hear wedding plans are going well. I remember those days. My BP dropped to 70/40 I was so tired. Hope you have time to enjoy the journey.

Sherry James said… - Yes, I'd love to meet you too! So far there have been two meet & greets that I've had the pleasure of attending and they were so much fun and I made some new friends too.
My daughter is on a ship and is a Junior Surface Warfare Officer that handles the ship weaponry. She enjoys it and has just returned from deployment in Europe with our allied forces. What a life a Navy girl/guy leads!
