Hey Sharon,

This is your Houston Area CS mom. How did Aaron's PIR go? My son Eric is over at the CS "A" School quarters in Great Lakes waiting for A school to start. Has Aaron moved over there yet. I would love for the two of them to meet.

Hi Sharon,
How are you doing today? I hope you are having a good day. When I talked to my husband he said that they are going to seat us in Divs. Div 227 will get all sitting together and our sailors will be standing in front of us.

Hi Sharon.
I am going to try to go to Flannigan's. I will be traveling from CA. I will be with my one year old Grandson and my daughter in law who is due to have a C-section on July 30. We will have been traveling since about 3:00am pst so I'm not sure what shape I'll be in but I'm sure DIV 227 will find each other. Maybe I'll make a big sign. LOL I ordered Jeff a Welcome home sign but its not fitting for graduation so maybe I'll tape off that part and put Happy graduation and DIV 227. : )
Have a great day! Karol

Hey Sharon - I just realized what tshirt you were talking about - the one on my page with other N4M's - silly me! Those you can order from one of the websites to the right of this website. I got mine from volunteering at the Navy Seal Fitness Challenge here in Dallas. It was an AWESOME event and I was able to meet moms that I met online - super day!

Hi Sharon! Clickchick (Christina) from our group designed t-shirts for herself first and then WE saw them and wanted the design :) I know some from this group have printed the pics on transfer paper and ironed them on t-shirts - I haven't yet, but hope to this week! Find "Clickchick" in the member list and give her your personal email (we can't send attachments from this email) and I'm sure she'd be happy to do it! From what I've read on this site - sitting is divided up by Division. The meet & greet is for the 6/19 PIR so I know you'll know people there from chatting on this website~ Counting down the days....

Profile Information

About me:
I am a new Navy mom. I am a career legal secretary/legal assistant briefly working in another field. I am originally from Corpus Christi, Tx. My son, Aaron, age 23, was in the DEP for 8 months and graduated boot camp on June 19, and will be a CS. We had talked so much at length and in depth about his decision to enlist, that it wasn't as hard for me to adjust because he was passionate about his decision. I was a single parent since Aaron was 12 when his father passed away. He was also in the Navy. I'm very excited for Aaron because I know he will do well.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
I don't have much experience with the Navy other than Aaron's father being enlisted and we had not met yet.. But what I've heard from others in the Navy and other branches the military is a great experience and will make him a better man.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
