Profile Information

About me:: I am a sailor in training to become an OS, and hoping to later earn an EOD contract. My boyfriend, Alan (a CM), started active duty in August of '08 and has been through his first deployment to Africa.

We still have a lot of time to spend apart, but I have faith that in the long run it will make us closer than ever. :) In the meantime, I look forward to getting to know others who know what this is like...

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?: Enlisted

When I heard “Navy,” I:: Was proud and encouraged it

From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:: to focus on what needs to be done, day to day, no matter how sad I get from missing him...and to be supportive and patient. I've seen the power of praying for him, and have become a better listener for when he needs to talk.

Through this Navy experience, I now believe:: It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
