Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was concerned or afraid
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
Left for Bootcamp: 09/08 PIR'd 10/08
Started A school Classes: 12/08
Finished A-school classes with Honors: 02/09 (Yep, incredibly proud)
Orders to Japan: 04/09
Living his dream and loving his life: Right Now.

Although I didn't think that it could get much better than watching him get sworn in, I was so thankful to be able to attend his PIR. Wow, I try to think of the right words, but it's really hard to find them. When you see what was your child at PIR, it's breathtaking, and they are in a division of at least 80, that are just as commited, just as proud, and just as confident as yours. It is astounding. When you watch PIR, there is a pride that only "we" as their families can ever know. Astonishing, I guarantee. If you are hesitant about going, my suggestion is you must go. Just make it possible. I know their lives changed in that 8 weeks at Boot Camp, but your life will change in that hour and a half, Pass In Review.

We come from a family of many in the Navy. Our son has several uncles' that served and his Grandpa, my dad served in VietNam. My mom still has the Red Cross telegram that he received in VietNam, to let him know that I'd been born. I'm so thankful for your sons and daughters, for my son, for making the decision to serve their country and serve it proudly.

A very good morning to the most amazing Navy Family on the planet.

Have you heard? Molly's Adopt A Sailor has been at it again. They've signed up for the Pepsi Refresh Challenge and are now in the running this month for a 50K grant. What do they want to use it for?…

Hey you.......good to know that you're still alive!  Getting together sounds terrific.  I have the grandkids this weekend and leave for vacation to Boston on the 28th.   Maybe we could try for the weekend of the 18th of anytime that week, or we could just plan for early July.......but let's pick a date so we make sure we do it!  I had lunch with Hiromi last Sunday.  Hadn't seen her in over a year.  Have not heard from Joyce in ages... I don't think she gets on N4M's much anymore.  Of course Molly's is still going strong!!!
