Yes the Navy has transport services they will recommend. Have your son ask his command, they can guide him. Make sure your son's car has: up to date insurance - the car should be insured in the state it's registered in, it does not have to be SC u...

About me:
I am a 43 year old mother of 3 sons. My oldest and youngest sons attend Marquette University. My middle son, Matt, is in A school in South Carolina. I am very proud to say that he is currently #1 in his class with a grade point of 3.88! I was born and raised in southeastern Wisconsin and am a huge Green Bay Packer fan, Milwaukee Brewers fan and Marquette Basketball fan!
I am here to support or represent my:

Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
How much the Navy truly has to offer and what an honor it was for Matt to qualify for this Nuclear Power program. When I read all the literature about the program, it gave me a deeper respect for the military and just how hard these young men and women study and train.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
Our relationship has grown stronger, This was a maturing experience, The Navy has a lot to offer, This was the best decision he/she could have made

This is my son Matt.

We're flying back in to GC for Thanksgiving and cooking up a storm. What's Matt going to be up to then?
How are you doing?

Hey Stephanie, I live in New Bern, NC. It's about 40-45 minutes from the Atlantic Ocean.

I worked for a dentist in West Allis during April and May. I lived with my daughter who lives near the Schmidt beer brewery - not a very safe neighborhood. My minivan was stolen during the 4th night I was there!
My son PIR'd on May 23rd so it wasn't a long drive to attend the graduation.

Annapolis is quite a shot. But he has to want it for it to work for him.

We are from Pontiac, half way between Chicago and Springfield on Rt. 66. I grew up in the NW suburbs.

Hi Stephanie, You were wondering if any other moms were from the midwest. I used to live in Sun Prairie, a suburb of Madison, WI but recently moved back up to my home town of Grand Rapids, MN. There is a Navy mom in Sun Prairie who has a son in power school at Goose Creek with my son. What town do you live in?

Those of us in Bears country are in the Midwest (about 2 hours from GL). My son is about to finish power school. Being #1 is a good place to be in A school. The pressure gets greater at power school when there are many more sections. Currently about 300 to compete against. That can be a lot more pressure.

I am flying out to GC tomorrow to see our sailor! He just hit Phase III last night and is excited.
