Lyn, that is great information. I was told by my PO that I would be charged to have it returned and they suggested the chaplain.

I have had two boxes returned from FPO addresses (not MAS boxes) and I didn't have to pay anything either time.

I don't think that any box should be addressed to "Any Soldier, Sailor, Champlain", they must thave a solidier/sailors name on them. That is always what I have heard, unless something else has changed. I believe that is even the Post Office's rule...

Joanne, In box 10, just put any sailor/chaplain. No address necessary.Unit no. just goes on address line. FPO goes in postcode spot. Check airmail. Hope this helps.

last year at bootcamp they were making them swim a breast stroke after the jump. about 1/3 of the division can't swim when they first get there. (so says the dive instructor I met last October) Swim lessons are done on your personal time.

I always put chaplain. I figure they can find someone. just lump things together, like candy, toileteries, baked goods. don't be too specific or someone may decide that the triple chocolate cake sounds good.
Lori(OH), It is box #5 at the bottom, just check gift. In box #10, I check "Redirect to Address Below" and then write in ANY SAILOR

1 year down, 19 to go
Steve reaches his year mark this week, and I wanted to write this witty, funny blog. I wanted to recap all this Navy "Stuff". Things I learned and unlearned. Red, white and blue hoooyaaaa and everything. Having come onto this site just days after it hit the net, I wanted to thank the amazing, strong women I have grown to love, who walk through this journey together. But I am stumped.

Maybe I didn't solve any of the world's problems today
but I did try to conduct my life in such a way That I did not add to them.
If I should come out ahead at the end of this game called Life
It won't be because of my fancy style or that I knew how to play it so well But more because I just kept getting up and plodding along
Till the world finally just got tired of knocking me down.
If it's just a game that we play before we leave this earth for the Heavens above, then surely the one who wins is the one who learns how to have a life full of living and a Heart full of Love. For you just can't empty a Heart full of Love.
