Waiting to leave for Boot Camp
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
He needs to be the responsible one now. I need to back off and know he will do what he needs to do.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Hello Susan, haven't heard from you in a while so I am dropping a line to say HELLO!
I spoke with my son Marc today and he told me that he is friends with someone named Peter from San Angelo, Texas. I was just wondering if this is your son. If it is he spent thanksgiving day with my son and his family at my son's home in San Diego, Calif.
He also bought a new car on Saturday. Could this be your son? COOL if it is.
How have you been doing? How was your thanksgiving? Ours was good, now just getting ready for Christmas. WOW!!! Christmas, here already.
Anyways hope to hear from you real soon to see if these are our sons that met and are friends.

Take care and TTYL!
Your friend and Navy MOM,
Shirley

Hey Susan, I will definitely be there for his pinning. Yes he gets a week or two of leave but his home is here in San Antonio and I live about 20 minutes from his house. We get to see him everyday and on weekends. I guess we got lucky that he got his a school here in san Antonio. It will probably be my mom, dad, and maybe my other son Josef (the one in the pic, the one on your right or my left). Marc is the one in the black sweater. My daughter also has competition that whole day at the Alamodome. She is in band and plays the flute and they have BOA (Bands of America) that day all day. I know that she would love to go with us but she already missed school when we went to Great Lakes to see his graduation. It is a pleasure getting to know you as well. TTYL!!!!!!

Hello Susan, Marc's has to report on 11/2/09. Peter is about 1-2 weeks ahead of Marc. Where was your meet and greet at? Ours was at Flannigans. Pretty neat. Graduation at GL was fantastic. Windy and raining but you put all of that aside. Was good to see my son. Spent the weekend with him and we left on Monday the 31st of August and he got in
San Antonio on Wed. Sept. 2. He was right behind us. Are you going to Peters graduation on Friday?

Hello Susan, thanks for the friends request. Yes I am from Floresville, Texas which is 20 minutes south of San Antonio, like going to Corpus. When is your son graduating from MA school, and you said that he was leaving to Coronado correct? Did you go to his graduation in GL, and if so how did you like it. I went with his wife and mother in law. I loved it to visit but not to live there. Which division and ship was your son in?
Does he like MA school?
