Hi Terri-Got a text picture of Chris' MA Badge. It's official. He did well in school and I am very proud of him. Still waiting for his orders to let us know when his flight leaves for home. He is all packed up and ready to go!
He is in the Reserves so he will be stationed in NY or NJ until he is deployed which he thinks is likely to happen since MA's Reservist are deployed often. A lot go to Iraq and Afghanistan. I am hoping that is not the case with him, but one step at a time. Right now I just can't wait to give him a hug and see him sitting in the kitchen! It should be only hours now.

How is Jason doing? Last I heard he was liking the classes much more. Hope all is well. Sorry that you have not found a job yet, but hopefully things will start getting better and the job market will open up soon. Well I have a few things to do before Chris arrives so I better go. Keep in touch!

Scott told me today they might get classed up on Tuesday. Hope that is right. He really wants to get started on classes. Said all he wants to do is eat. Wish it was warmer for them. This weather has been wicked. Take care.

Hi Terri- Sorry to hear that staying home is not agreeing with you. It can get very boring at times. The only thing that keeps me home is with my two daughters (age 6 &8) it does not pay for me to work right now. By the time I pay after care and summer camp, I barely make anything. Right now unemployment makes it better to stay home. It is the first time since I was 14 that I have not worked. Kind of feels weird but on cold days like today I am grateful. It is nice not to have to worry about what to do when it snows and the girls are off or when they have an event at school. Juggling all of that kind of stuff when I was working was very stressful. I think I will most likely look for part time work in the future, but not yet. Good luck in your search. I hope you find something that fills your needs and that you enjoy!

Chris seems to be doing very well. he is not happy that when his computer arrived from home, it is not working. He is loving that he has his phone though.
He likes his roommates and the area. It is cold there now too, but now near as cold as GL. The only thing is, they have to work out outside all the time.
If he went there two months later, it would have been really nice. As it is though, his classes do not start until March 22nd so it looks like he will see nice weather there. He is real close to the ocean. The only problem is the
Navy aircraft fly over all day & night. At first he thought it was really nice, now he says it is annoying. I am sure soon he will just block out the sound. Other then the disappointment about the wait for classes and hearing a lot of MA's are going to be deployed to Afghanistan, he is doing good. He says he can't worry about things he can't change.

I will tell Chris you said Hi, please tell Jason Hi from me too!!!!!

Great Terri I hope they start classes soon. Scott said it is really boring just doing all the stuff they are doing. His room mate is struggling a little on tests so I think it is showing Scott you have to really study hard. Of course Scott said he didn't really want to be a corpsman and he thinks that is why he is having problems. This is what Scott wants to do and he loves anything medically related. I think if you are interested in what you want to make a career of you will succeed. Scott is tired of the cold weather and snow though. He is used to this but he hates it. We got about 5 inches of snow last night and now we are going into deep freeze. Just a couple of days though, I remember when it used to be cold and snowy for months. When we can go visit the boys later on we will have to try to plan on going on one of the same week-ends so we can see each other again. Take care.

Hi Terri, Scott told me when he hung up that Jason was going to call you. He said a bunch of them were going out to eat tonight. Seems like he has adjusted and doing good. The first thing he said to me was send me my camera and phone. I got his new address. He told me Jason is in a different bldg than him, but a couple of the other guys were in his bldg. He is anxious for school to start now. I would have liked to have him home for a few days but it might have made it hard for him to go back then. That might be why they don't let them come home right away. He did tell me that after awhile we might be able to come visit him on week-ends. That would be nice. Take care and keep in touch.

Scott had so much fun texting friends, talked to his girlfriend for 2 hours Sat. night. Got to call his best friend who is now in Fla. waiting for A-school to begin. He hasn't talked to him since the end of Sept when he went to bootcamp. Scott said they are hoping to come home for a few days before school starts. I really want that to happen but then it is just going to be harder when he leaves again. I miss him all over again.

I so enjoyed this week-end. It was wonderful meeting you and I am glad the boys will be going to A-school together. Wish I would have seen Jason around this afternoon while we were at the base so I could have gotten a picture of the boys together. I'll have to do that sometime during A-School. I didn't want to leave today. I got all teary and just didn't want it to end. Now I miss him all over. Take care and we have a great bunch of New Sailors.
