Hi, I just joined Navy for Moms. My son enlisted, will leave for boot camp in March then on to A school. He is to train to be a Field Medic. I too live in McAlester. I too am a mother of 3, oldest just finished second year at OU, twins, boy and a girl. They just graduated from high school, my son is the one who just joined the navy. Good to know there are others from McAlester in the Navy, at least we have someone close to talk to.

Hello and welcome to N4M’s!
We’re so glad you’ve joined us! My name is Michelle (The Admin), but you can call me Elle. If you have any questions/comments/concerns – send them my way! To help you get started, I’d like to share some of our community’s “Do’s and Dont’s”. Please click here and read them because yes, they are enforced. With that said, I hope you enjoy your time here! We’re all looking forward to learning more about you. ☺

Dear Terrolyn,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
I hate days like that, especialy if you have to travel in it!! UGH!!
I have some snow here, but it's already starting to disolve.

Where is Darren now in the Navy?

I'm still new, my daughter Kim just started on her ship, the USS Normandy in Virginia. The ship is drydocked for a year.

I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.

It is cold here today and just plain old yukky.... I have a concert tonight at the High school and am not looking forward to getting out in this cold weather. It is just plain cold... not at all like the warmth I had on Sunday. I remember now why I moved more South...don't like cold. oh well, before long we will be complaining about the heat again down here. Have a good afternoon.

About me:
I'm a mother to 3 sons, the youngest in junior high, the middle is a high school freshman and the oldest is in his first tour of duty.

I'm an avid animal lover, a pug-mini pinscher hybrid, 4 cats and a ferret live in the house, I do quite a bit of reading when I can, mostly catholic non fiction, quite a bit of science and philosophy.

I walk and listen to alternative rock and Top 40 tunes doing my daily 2 miles. I was born in the north, been living in the mid south region for the last 20 years. My family is 1st generation Navy, my father was an EM3, I and my boys' father also served.
I am here to support or represent my:

When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
That I have to learn patience when I don't hear from him often enough.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
This was the best decision he/she could have made
