go to search and enter 900 division. There is lots of info there. Usually the recruits with higher ASVAB scores are picked because they miss some of the time practicing. There are several different "jobs" for 900 division. One division (I forget t...

Hello! Just checking in to see how you are doing today? Also, how is your husband? I'm so glad you have received your PIR information. I was so glad when we received that information because I felt like I was looking forward to that wonderful day instead of looking back to the day we said goodbye. Looking forward always looks GOOD!!

About 2 b a Navy mom...I'm glad you finally got the letter with the PIR information. I am surprised he has a different PIR date then Bryan who arrived 2 days earlier. Bryan would have had the same date if he hadn't shipped out early. Now is the long wait for the first letter, I haven't received one yet. I am hoping today is the day they get to write and it will be mailed out tomorrow... He should be receiving all the ones that have been sent to him, I hope. I'm sorry I missed your birthday so "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" from your N4M friend..Have a great day, Lori

About to be a Navy Mom, I am so very sorry about not getting a phone call. If your son could have called, he would have. I know how very hard this is for you -- just hang on -- it will get better, I promise. I don't even like to think back to the first few weeks my son was gone because all those feelings flood back over me and I don't like it. Once the calls start and they begin writing home and you to them, it will seem so much better. And, about half way through (or before) you will begin planning for the Graduation Ceremony and time will begin to move soooooo much faster.

Tell your husband he might want to check out the Navy for Dads website; my husband has found it to be very helpful. I've said it before . . . right now you are in the valley, but your mountain top experience is just around that corner. Take care and as always we are here for both of you! :)

Hi About 2b a Navy Mom....How are you doing? I am ok. I recieved Bryan's letter and box today. He is on Ship 13 Division 061. PIR is on January 15. HAve you heard when Jody's is yet? It seemed like forever waiting for any information from BC. I can relate to the not being able to stop thinking and the games our minds play. I feel as if I am always some where else and the world is moving around me. It will get better. It is certainly nice to know everyone is here for us.
I hope you and your family have a great Thanksgiving. My daughter, age 14, just left with some friends for Alabama to spend Thanksgiving so it is just my husband, my son Brandon, age 16, and myself to celebrate. We are going to go camping with friends so that will help me get through it.
Take care, Lori

Good Morning About to be a Navy Mom!

I can certainly understand the "not being able to stop thinking and mind games" comment; they will beat you up. In the end, you must take control of those thoughts and turn the negative ones into positive thoughts. In some ways, I think we as mothers also going through this Boot Camp experience, in a weird sort of way are grieving. Perhaps we are grieving the loss of our little boys who are now well on their way to becoming fine, young men. I guess that is part of the bitter/sweet path of life. We spend our lives raising them to be men, but part of us always wants the little boy to be with us.

Hey, you do what you have to do to get through this process. If it means going to bed, you go to bed; if it means crying, you cry; if it means screaming to the top of your lungs until it hurts because you don't know what else to do (been there, done that, ha, ha); do it. All that really matters is that you continue to press on; and you will!!!! We are here every tear, every joy (and they will come) every step of the way with you! :)
