I just left El Centro, where my wife was the AC LPO. It was half Navy and half civilian. All of the civilians were ex Navy, and left the Navy for the civilian job, and a LOT more pay.

The bonus changes from year to year, although this is the worst I've seen. It could come back, at least a little, before it's time for him to re-enlist. Don't give up hope yet!

Thank you for your service to our country! As a veteran...were you Navy or another branch? What did you do? Thank your wife for her service. By the way there is a Navy Dad site. Haven't visited that site recently and don't know how husbands would fit there, but you are welcome here.

We are so glad that you are here! This is a great place to meet others that know exactly how you feel!
We have something for everyone here groups from boot camp moms to overseas moms and moms that like to scrap book. We have meet and greets to events that the moms set up to meet each other and have dinner or an outing. There are groups to help you with each and every step of this wonderful adventure that our children have chosen called the US Navy.

Please tell us about your sailor and what they have chosen to do in the navy and ohh yeah we LOVE pictures of everyone !!

WOW. Maybe John will get a chance to meet her when he gets to VA. He just graduated today in Pensacola and reports to Norfolk 2/9/09. He just loves the Navy and his career choice. His joining is all new for us. He is our only son and the only one from both my husband and my family to go military. This sure has been some adventure. If I can just get to learn all these abbreviations ..... Talk to you later.

Hello Tim and welcome. Where are you currently stationed? My son has just graduated A school and will be stationed in Norfolk, VA. I am looking forward to a quick visit from him on his way to VA.
