Dear Tiwanna,
How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
Relax, Brandon is fine and in good hands with the Navy. Once he gets into the rountine of Boot Camp, he'll like it, they all do, beleive it or not.

You'll get his first long letter around the third week. As for the phone cards, I know moms have mentioned it, but I didn't get one for my daughter Kim. And she did call, every couple of weeks. After the first phone call that they arrived, all the other calls are earned priviledges.

Don't send Brandon money. He has no use for it, the Navy supplies everything. And the recruits are paid while in Boot Camp.

So relax, we've all been through this!! I'm glad you join the group "Boot Camp moms" that's like a survival kit!!
Please stay in touch with other Navy moms, and I'm always around.
Together, we'll help you through Boot Camp.....we haven't lost a mom yet!! HAHA!!
Take care and God bless.

Dear Tiwanna,
How are you doing? Other than my usual compliant of the heat, I'm fine!! HAHA!!
The Navy for moms is such a blessing! Many moms helped me through Boot Camp.
Brandon will be fine and in good hands with the Navy. I know, I do feel more comfortable about my daughter Kim being in the Navy.
Once Brandon gets into the routine of Boot Camp, he'll like it, they all do, believe it or not!! My Kim loved Boot Camp, and I've heard other moms tell me the same with their children. It takes a few weeks of getting used to the rountine.
It's the moms having the nervous breakdowns!!!HAHA!!
The best thing you can do is keep busy and stay in touch with other Navy moms. I'm always around, this is my new hobby!!! HAHA!
I do recommend that you join the group "Boot Camp moms' for starters. All of us here will be more than happy to help you through Boot Camp...we haven't lost a mom yet!!! HAHA!!
I hope to hear from you again.
Take care and God bless.

Hello Tiwanna - It sounds as if you are just joining this group. I joined last week and already can feel the support of the other mothers. My son joined a few months ago as a DEP recruit and the time went by so fast. He leaves tomorrow with his recruiter and gets sworn in on Tuesday, the leaves for boot camp.
From reading letters from the other mothers, I can tell you this is a great place to vent and learn and talk with others who know exactly how you feel.
Write to me when you get a chance and take care.

Dear Tiwanna,
Hi, my name is Barbara and my daughter Kim graduated last month.
You came to the right web site, Navy for Moms. We are all here to help one another through.
Your son Brandon will be fine. If anything, between my daughtr and other Navy moms, most of the kids enjoyed Boot Camp, once they got used to the rountine.
Please feel free to write me, I'll be more than happy to help you along the way. Many Navy moms helped me through Boot Camp.
I hope to hear from you.
Take care.
Barbara
