About me:
I have 1 son and 2 daugthers, 1 husband, 1 son-in-law and 1 grand daugther. We live in southwest Michigan. I am now un-employed, and babysit my granddaugther all day to save the kids some money. One daugther a married and the other one is a collage student. My son was a year after high school graduation and still nothing to do or a job. I suggested a military career. He is now in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii waiting to meet his sub, the USS Charlotte.
I am here to support or represent my:
Son/Daughter
Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
My son has grown soo much. Letting him go was the toughest.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

I went and deleted the group once I found out they are one of only TWO sub's that carry the seals... Per guidelines on here, no info can be given out regarding any type of seals and or their missions, and transportation.. So I'm waiting on Elle to give me the OK on re-creating the group.

Hi Trina,

His sub is the USS Los Angeles. As it turns out, he just called me a couple of hours ago because he's heading out to it Tuesday. I've located his boat's ombudsman so luckily I know who to go to. I don't think he'll mind kitchen duty too much. He was really anxious to get going, but now that the time has come, I think he's a little apprehensive. I'm happy for him though and I'll be really happy that he won't be spending any money. :)

Hi Trina, I have all of the reservations made for dinner. I see you made hotel reservations. I plan to get to the Inn a bit before the time so to greet everyone. I was just up at Frankenmuth this pst weekend with company that came to visit us. They wanted to go to the Christmas shop. I was talking to a few of the ladies in the different shops and met a few Navy moms, who said they hope to come to dinner also. I think we will have quite a crowd. Let me know where you are staying and what time you plan on getting in and we can hook-up before. Also maybe a group will want to meet for breakfest the next morning. See you in a few weeks...Paulette
