- I live in Florida and have been raising my son all by myself since 2001 when my husband passed away. It has been a long journey with my son but I have enjoyed every moment. I am happy he is going into The Navy and is studying Aviation.

- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- I am learning as I go. I guess the most important thing I have learned thus far is that there is a lot of info on this forum and I am happy to be part of it and have great friends to share things with.
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

- Hi, Trish........just answering a previous post re: first deployment. My daughter met up with the Nimitz on 10/24 & spent her first weekend in Bahrain! She works up on the flight deck in V-1 & loves her job! How's your son adapting to life on an aircraft carrier?!

- Trish, if your son is with an air squadron he wouldn't have the same email or mailing address as those that are ships company. He would need to get that from someone in his squadron.

- So, I'm guessing brownies might not be such a good idea???? lol. I love your pictures from NAS- at the museum. My middle son was there for a while....going Aircrew, but was medically dropped. Now, he's going MA.

- Trish, my son flew out to meet the Nimitz in October too. The email that I have is firstname.lastname@cvn68.navy.mil He is a NUKE and his mailing address is a little different than the one below...but the FPO AP number is the same. I hope you figure it out.

He just finished Nuke Power School and will be home for Easter and then heading to NY to finish up his last 6 mths of training, then who knows where! Yes I look forward to meeting you on the 19th.
