My son, Matt, is a sailor on board the Anzio. He sent me this video, which was forwarded to him from AllHands, It shows the Anzio in action.
Keep it going, What a wonderful site to my eyes!! Thank you for these pictures. What a blessing . This is the Lords will and work now and forever! God bless everyone of you!

Our Sailors are in paradise on earth !!! They have a few days liberty in the Seychelles Islands, Africa. This is where they filmed the movie ' Castaway ' I'm so jealous, it looks sooo beautiful there
Hi there, I don't know if your Sailor is a 'polywog' or not, my son Matt is. Today is the 'Shellback' ceremony for our 'polywogs' So I think you know what THAT means, right ?

Welcome to the USS Anzio CG68, I started this group because my son Robert is a STG3 on the ship. So, please if you know of anyone else that has a loved one on USS Anzio, please invite them to join us. I would love to be able to reach every family and friends with a loved one on USS Anzio. from the pictures I see that you have been on it already, thank you for sharing. I am so proud of all our Sailors that go out there everyday to protect our freedom. What is Matt's rate? Please do not worry, our boys receive the best training in the world. Our most importat job is to be strong for them, let them know how thankful we are for all that they do for us, and most importantly we must not say their location, as we truly do not know who else may be able to retrieve this information. We should be always mindful of the saying: "Lose Lips Sink Ships", we certainly do not want to be the ones that put our loved ones in danger. Thank you so much

- About me:
- My name is Veronica. Our son, Matthew joined the Navy almost 2 years ago now. His father and I are EXTREMELY proud of him. His brother and sisters are also proud of him.He was 19 when he first joined. Last year on August 31, 2008, Matt and his girl, Eris,got married.
Right now, today, May 14, 2009, I am still very proud of him, but now, I am worried, nervous, and afraid for him, and also the safety of him and all of his fellow shipmates.
Yesterday, May 13, 2009, the USS Anzio and the 346 sailors aboard, left for a 7 month deployment to the Meditteranean to help with this " pirate situation " over there.
