I can only imagine how you feel. I do know what it feels like to not have the money for college and doctors. I have 6 kids at home all on state medical, because I just can't afford medical insurance for all of them. My daughter who is Bi-Polar and my youngest son both take meds that together add up to over $1,000 a month, no kidding. I have them both on Abilify which for some dumb reason cost over $400 for 30 pills. Can you believe that. The worst part about it is, that is the only medicine that my daughter Gabrielle has taken that actually works for her. This kid use to OD on meds, alcohol, tried several times to commit suicide, and she use to cut her self horribly. That went on for several years until I put her on Abilify. Now she is a Junior in High School Doing awsome, and she is also going to Cosmetology school everynight from 4-8 and One Saturday every month. It is a miracle really. My youngest was diagnosed with hypo bi-polar. He is going to be 10 this coming October and now is a strait A student and his gymnastics abilities could take him to the olympics if he keeps up with it. Try not to let Josh's girlfriend get to you, you just keep thinking about him and support your son with what ever he decides. Trust me it is much better emotionally for all of you. I know how you feel, because Aaron has come home with some real winners. Oh if you talk to Josh again Aarons last name is Courter. pronounced just like Quarter. o.k. Maybe then he might know him. Hang in there. Thinking about you both Micky

Hello Warrior mom. You mean to tell me that Josh has yet to get on any meds for what he has? When I talked to Aaron he said that they gave him some cough syrup and antibiotics, which he has been on for about 3 days and oh my goodness he sounds horrible. I could hardly understand him. I had to keep asking him to repeat his self. I hope Josh doesn't get as bad as Aaron. Aaron also told me that he doesn't know anyone by their first names. So maybe they are in the same area.

I just got off the phone with Aaron. I called the public affairs number, because I wasn't getting anywhere with any of the other numbers. I don't think that Aaron is in the same room with your son. I tried to describe your son to him and told him his name, and he said he didn't know him. Aaron is very sick with severe bronchitis, and sounds just horrible. They acually let him have some promethazine for the coughing and some antibiotics but he is miserable. They do not have a damn thing to sit on and their not allowed to sit on their beds so of course the other kids were right about only being able to sit on the filthy floor with which the same mop that they clean the community bathroom with is used in their rooms to. Oh I'm so pissed I could just scream this is outragious. They have no right to treat our sons and daughters like this if they are kicking them out for medical or whatever. Aaron says it is just like being in prison. His recruiter here in Mesa had the gull to ask me if Aaron got his ear fixed to come back and they would let him go through again. Aaron is so disgusted with the Navy he will never go back there again. I feel so bad for him because our family is all Air Force people and we tried to talk him into going into the Air Force but he really wanted to be in the Navy. Nice how they treat our recruits I have absolutely no respect for the Navy anymore, and I will tell anyone that wants to go into the Navy to not go there and tell them all the horror stories our kids had to go through. Thanks for letting me vent.

How many times did you get to speak to your son? I only got 2 calls, and one I missed. Who do I speak to to try to get in touch with him? I am so frustrated not knowing what is going on in there. Did you ask Josh if he knew who Aaron was? I'm not sure if they are all in the same place or different rooms so to speak. I haven't even gotten one letter from Aaron since he went into ship 17, and he should have all the time in the world to write. I have a funny feeling that they are withholding them from writing as well as getting mail. Let me know if you find out something. Thanks Micky

Aaron got there 4 days ago, and he was suppose to graduate on Oct 3. Yes, it is disappointing when you read about all the other mothers planning their trips to see their child graduate. I was just in the process of booking tickets when I got the phone call that they were medically discharging him for his low hearing in his ear. Why did Josh get sent to Ship 17? Just remember God had something else in mind for our boys.

How long did they tell Josh that he has to stay before he can Leave? Aaron was told 2 weeks, but I guess I will find out for sure tomorrow.

Hello my name is Micky, and my son was just sent to Ship 17 for a perforated eardrum. They told him that he wouldn't be able to leave for 2 weeks. I have know way of calling him, so he has been trying to talk to me as much as possible. Maybe Joshua knows Aaron. I hope they hang in there and understand that this does not make them failures. It just wasn't meant to be. God has other plans for them. Hope your doing fine, you guys all hang in there
