- I live in North Central Phoenix. My Son joined the Navy in Oct 2010 and just completed Prototype at the Nuclear Power School in Goose Creek. Waiting on hearing if he is accepted into officer school and/or staying on as an instructor in GC.

- When I heard “Navy,” I:
- Was proud and encouraged it
- From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
- always be prepared for change. Except a huge change in your child - my son is now giving me advice. They learn to appreciate what they had at home
- Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
- The lessons learned in the Navy could have been learned anywhere.
