- Hi Annmarie I'm in your ombudsman group. I don't know a lot about this stuff myself, but my son joined the navy while he was still in high school, so I had a good relationship with his recruiter, and felt like I could ask him about problems while my son was in Great Lakes. So if nothing else you could try and contact him or her.

- hi moms, it's so funny for me to hear about other people who have children who reported the same day as xave.
no letter as of today. i'm happy to celebrate 1 complete week for him!
he is going to be an intelligence specialist. that means after boot camp, a school in dam neck, va. then hopefully he'll decide to do a b school.... which for him would be language school for 10 months in monteray, ca (guess we'll be visiting there) then c school back at dam neck for more intelligence school. Seems like alot of school to me for a kid who really hated college..... but he says this is different.. all i know is that he is so excited about all this....
it really means alot to hear about your children at the different stages... thank you

- thank you karen. our son xavier is is basic training right now... just left last week. He is going to a school in damn neck for intelligence. then to b school, probably, for language school, then back to c school for more intelligence stuff. at least that is the plan right now.
