hello evryone, well christina is packing up and getting ready to leave in am unsure when she will be back seems like she just got here. but at least she will be in Va. and not out to sea and phone works most of the time.

i am fairly new to this site. i have a daughter temporaily assisgned to uss theodore roosevelt cvn71 on deployment then will be stationed on the george bush in virgina. she is my only girl,i also have 3 boys one 21 and two 11 yr.old twins . i am a nurse and enjoy reading and learning new things and meeting new people and friends.

hi april i am glad to add you as a friend and welcome to the TR site. we also live in a small town. it is on the way to yosemite if you take hwy 140 out of Merced calif. Planada is about maybe 2000 peope, so small that if someone does something at one end of town the story beats them home. my kids hated that. i work at a horse ranch and then i also help my friend on her cattle ranch. my husband is an foreman for the county road department. just made his 10year pin. we have three kids oldest is william, correctional officer, my only dauther is college student/mommy and works and youngest son is on the TR. oh ya i love to read. who do you read? and what? i have several i read nora roberts/j d robb, elizabeth lowell, christina dodd to name a few. well friend i gotta go to bed

Well I certainly understand the financial crunch. My husband was laid off and with me working in Real Estate there is not much money coming into the house right now. Sam has been putting money back to help with the airline ticket for the Tiger Cruise. I am hoping to save more money for the drive down. But everything is still very much up in the air.

Hi April, We live in Aurora, just south of Springfield. I am hoping to drive up for the homecoming. I have a 12 year old who is hoping to go on the Tiger Cruise. It will be his birthday as well, so Samantha thought it would be cool if he could go. Plus she said it will be something he will never be able to experience because he is a Type1 diabetic on an insulin pump.

Sam's car is also on post. She and a couple of others are trying to get the same leave so they can all drive home together.

My son is on the USS Boxer and just shipped out yesterday from San Diego to Iraq. Not to sure what he has done on the ship but he has done alot of building like housing/schools in other countries. He is training to be a firefighter

Thanks hope you had a good one. I worked til 9 and went to bed before midnight. First onw without the kids. My youngest was with his girlfriend.
