Hey everyone!!! Today is a HUGE day because we got letters from Bruno!!! He sent one to me and one to my husband, and his grandmother got a letter today too. I still need to check-in with the other family members to see if they got letters today!!...
There must be something going on in the division....from the most part of what I have read on here, no one in this division has gotten a call or letter.....hopefully today!! I am praying that you too get something today!! Let me know :)

I couldn't have said it better myself. It is providing a little comfort knowing that our division is experiencing the SAME thing that I am....I hear what you were saying about reading the other threads, etc. It was making me upset too! ...
Hi Tonya, my son is also on ship 10 div 371. How many days did u book the hotel for? I assumed we had sunday as well.

Goodbyes Really Suck and Cell Phones Really Rock
So... it finally came. Departure day. Last November when my son enlisted in the DEP program, September 2 seemed so far away! Once he graduated from high school, though, and the summer began... time went by in a flash! Suddenly we realized that we had a ton of things we wanted to do and a lot of trips we wanted to take before he left for boot camp.

- Hi ! hope your weds is filled with letters in the mail box..i really started missing garrett this week ... i took the last letter i recieved from him and tucked it into my sleeve when i took holy communion on sunday . :( it brought some sort of weird comfort to me .. i hope to see you at PIR

Navy For Moms didn’t exist until March 2008. N4Ms has been God send for so many of us, providing an incredible internet support system – a place to ask questions, express our concerns and share our joys. Since you live in Northern California, I just want to invite you to join the Northern California Navy Moms Group. We have had four get-togethers this month. We have one more event coming up in October - opportunity to meet other Navy moms.

Alaina {Bob's Mom} said… - We have like 4 or 5 informal meet and greets being planned in the No Cal Mom's group right now. If you go into the group and then look at the discussions, there is a link to a listing of upcoming 'events'. Great way to meet up with other Navy families.
I know what you mean about this all being overwhelming. I found this website MONTHS before my son left for boot camp. Sometimes I think I knew more of what he would be going through than he did. Some of it was scary, but it all helped prepare me for what was to come. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them. We all believe in paying forward the help and support we have gotten when we needed it.
Division #: Once he has been gone for a couple of days, his recruiter should be able to give you his address. That will have his division #. If the recruiter can't help you out, you'll get it in his form letter (about a week after he left).

- Hi from Rancho Cordova (just outside Sacramento). I read your blog and thought you might like to join a couple of groups on the website. First, I recommend Boot Camp Moms. A great bunch of ladies to help you through the phases of Boot Camp. Once you know his Div #, you can meet up with other moms in the same Div. Also, watch for a group with your PIR (graduation) date. It's nice to get to know these moms too. Finally, there is a No Cal Mom's group. We are having a get together next Wednesday, 9/9 at the Spaghetti Factory in Rancho Cordova. We would love to have you come! Welcome aboard this rollercoaster called 'Navy Life'.
