I'm surprised that particularly the older guys don't sit the talkative jerks down for a "come to Jesus" talk--and then, if that doesn't work, an informal, ad hoc "blanket party," to help with the necessary attitude adjustment. Part of working together as a team is for the balance of the team to straighten out those who are causing problems for the team--younger members of the team don't want to be the "brown noser/goodie-goodie" guy, so all the guys who are tired of suffering from the idiots' inability to get the message need to, together, have an intervention to explain the facts of life to the jerks. BUT, we're older and at home and don't recall that for many of these guys, this is their very first rodeo and they don't know how to handle idiots.

I don't know if he knows Anthony or not--Adam said there are 70 guys in the 355, so that seems like a lot of people to know--but I'll bet they do, particularly since they both seem to be of the "why don't these guys learn?" school of thought.

- I did read that--but we didn't get a call today--perhaps he used it to talk to all his friends. Or maybe he'll get it tomorrow. Anyway, I'm so glad that they did so well! Adam said they have been having to do a lot LESS intensive training since the talkers have finally gotten it through their head--he was also interested that there were so many guys with such a wide range of ages in his group--good to learn that they are ALL sailors, regardless of age or former place in life! Or level of talkitiveness! (if that isn't a word, it is now)
