We are working on my son. He is actually flying to Kansas to go in through my husbands cousin, who is a recruiter and is going to ensure he gets in without any issues. Should know something in early August about when he will get to go to BC and so forth.

Must be another Chief's house. We didn't have anything at our house. Not sure who his division chief is. If he wants to know which one is my husband, he is the Maintenance Desk Chief at nights.

Lemoore doesn't have a lot to offer, so it will depend on how far you want to drive. The Sequoia's are about a 2 hr drive and a nice day trip to go up into the park and hike. Paso Robles is a nice place to go to for the day if you like wine's. There are somewhere around 80 wineries in that area. Locally, Hanford has Thursday night market place which I think run through September. They have vendors, a farmer's market and often a band or something like that out there. They also have the Superior Dairy downtown, which is an old time soda shop. They have really good (HUGE) sundae's and is a nice treat, and inexpensive. Tachi Palace is about 15 minutes from the base, if you like to gamble. As it gets closer to when you get to come out, just drop me a line and I can check my schedule. We are working on some travel plans ourselves to go to Disney and then my husband is going to fly to Kansas in September to see his family for a few days.

AirmanHutch's Mom from WS NC- Hi, Congratulations on your son graduating from A school. That's great that he's going to VA Beach. Our son is still in A school. I'm not sure when he'll be done. He is hoping to go to VA Beach, also. How much snow did you get? Take care. Hope you don't get snowed in. birknma

Lemonelephant: what are you talking about my last name is in my profile....sorry it is not in my profile...(January 10th message at 9:37 below). I don't use first and last names but if you can show me otherwise then I would acknowledge the mistake...but I don't believe you are reading my last name...

I see you are getting adjusted. You don't need to have friends to get information from this site. Just relax. I have been "mentoring" many new members and above a certain number, I won't be effective; therefore, I am “graduating” a few of you who appear to be well-adjusted and have learned the ropes. In the Forum, on “How to Do Stuff On N4M” I have posted a number of topics which will help you navigate this site. I am not far away. If you need me, you’ll find me on a daily basis in the SF Bay Area Navy Families group (click on link). That is my “home” group where I am the creator/admin. Best of luck to you and your sailor. Regards, BunkerBee.

I just dropped by http://www.navyformoms.com/profile/Becky870 and there is a comment on her wall that you need to delete to get rid of your last name-if she hasn't. Click the little x next to it. You may also want to check comments and psots you have made and delete any posts that include a last name--yours, your sailor's, or that of another mom or sailor. If there is a time that you feel a need to share a last name, please do it in a private message to one mom, don't post it--not even on a profile becuase you never know who will happen by. Blessings to you and yours.

He thinks living in a sub is the easy part. When he is out at sea, he is on watch for 6 hours, he is off watch but doing paperwork, reporting to his captain on things, then another 6 hours on watch. The remaining 6 hours is for personal use, including sleep. NOT FOR ME - his softie mom.
