How are you today? I pray for a fast healing for your son.
My older daughter wants to have tha corrective eye surgery. SHe tired of wearing glasses an contact lenses.
I just found out my ENT doctor dropped my insurance. He's the one who sent be for the 6 month evaluation. So I guess that's not happening. Oh well.
Thank you so much for the compliment on my daughters. I also have a son, but I don't know how to place his picture on my profile. And no one in my house wants to be bothered. My son is the baby, he's 19 years old.

How are you today? So it only took a month before he heard. That's good.
The Navy is noted for taking their sweet blessed time. We call it Hurry up and Wait.
That surgery PRK, is that eye surgery?
I'll keep him in prayer for a healing. I wish him all the best.
I'm waiting for surgery on my ear. The surgery is called Cochlear Implant. I went through 6 months of evaluation, I just got approved for it. Now I found out the ENT doctor that sent me for the evaluation, no longer takes our insurance. I'm so frustrated over this.
Let me run. It's 4:36 AM. You read that right! HAHA! This is normal hours for me! HAHA!

A belated happy birthday to your son. I wish him all the best in fullfilling his dream. God bless him. Congratualtions on him being approved for the OCS.
Curious, how long did he wait to hear about his approval for OCS?
Another mom I write to, her son is still waiting to hear if he got approved or not. It's about a month now.

The last one I sent was of a cartoon mouse, he was crying!! HAHA!

Now I just got thrown off, you wrote that you son is waiting to leave for Boot Camp. But you wrote me he graduated in May.
My daughter Kim graduated a year ago last June. She's on the USS Normandy in Virginia. She's an Operational Specialist, she reads the radar.
I'll let you get going. I hope to hear from you again.

How are you doing? This Navy for moms is such a blessing.
You wrote that you're waiting for Boot Camp. Is it your son or daughter?
For starter, your child will be fine. I'll let you know what to expect. Within 48 hours after leaving for Boot Camp, your child will call you.
After the first week, you'll recieve the box with the dirty clothes! HAHA! There's no letter in it. Warning, this box does leave an empty feeling.
The second week is the Form letter, Don't misplace this. The Form letter is now combined with graduation information. It should have the address for you to write to, with the Division and Ship numbers. On the back will be a couple of sentences. You'll feel some relief seeing your recruit's handwritting.
Around the third week, you're first long letter. Another warning, that first letter sometimes is sad. If it is, don't panic. The letters do get more uplifting.
You may even get a phone call the following weekend. There's usualy around 3 phone calls before graduation.
It takes a few weeks for the recruits to get into the rountine of Boot Camp and over being homesick. Once they do, they all like Boot Camp, beleive it or not.
It's the moms having the nervous breakdowns! HAHA!
Boot Camp isn't as horrible as us moms picture it.
Please stay in contact with other Navy moms. I'm always around. Together we'll help you through Boot Camp...we haven't lost a mom yet!HAHAHA!!
