Stage of (Sailor’s) Navy Career?
Enlisted
When I heard “Navy,” I:
Was proud and encouraged it
From my experience with the Navy, the most important thing I learned was:
that a lot has changed in the 25+ years since I served. The Navy seems to be taking very good care of our young people, helping them make smart choices.
Through this Navy experience, I now believe:
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Great pic that you posted of your son on the Reagan.  Has he ever been on any other ships to see their medical departments?  I've heard the Essex (and LHDs like it) is 2nd only to the hospital ships, so I wonder what all the carriers have on them.

Any chance you can post his pic of the essex + snow on the Japan site?  Katie just missed the snow as she left on the 30th for leave.  Heard there were others having snowball fights;)

My daughter is on the Essex out of Sasebo. I met one of her friends that's a corpsman on the ship when we were there this summer for the Gator Cruise. Now she is working at the clinic because she is pregnant and couldn't be on the most recent deployment. Hope your son likes Sasebo. What does he think if sushi and such?
